>> 0601 <<
The completion_codes have been changed. This version of SALV
operates with FMS version 06.00. or later.
     (03.06 if DAMOS)

The output message concerning double allocated sectors has
been improved to include the sector number and the BFD
     numbers of the competing files.

The output from CHECKNAMES and CLEANNAMES includes the names of
the files instead of just the directory and entry numbers.
     (PR 1224)

The syntax of LISTNAMES and LISTFILES has been changed to

                           2
     LISTNAMES {<file nbr>}
                           0

     and

                           2
     LISTFILES {<file nbr>}
                           0

in order to allow for the listing of all, one or two files. The
<file nbr> is the BFD number of the file.

>> 0701 <<

The CHECKFILES command has been extended.
From now on it also checks that all sectors of a file are marked
as allocated in the Bit Map. (PR 85239)

>> 0801 <<

The CHECKFILES command must have a succeeding parameter represented
by a integer. The value of the parameter limits the number of
warnings output during check of BFD entry information versus the
Bit Map; i.e. if the value of the parameter is X and it is less
than the occurrences of warnings only X number of warnings
is output. On the other hand the value X may be greater than
the number of warnings to be output. (AAV 1964)

Changes:
--------

>> 0601 <<
The code is changed so that the procedure CHECKFILES is able to
remember the files already checked, instead of starting all over
when called again. This should reduce the execution time.
     (PR 1223)
BIGSALV is enlarged to handle 30000 files.

>> 0802 <<

Rescission of termination when corrupt data is found in the Bit Map
or in the BFD itself. (PR 86297)

Errors corrected:
-----------------

>>0601<<
There are three error-codes describing bad sectors, but SALV was
not prepared for handling the address_or_sync_error, i.e. it would
     abort upon receival.

>>0602<<
The MARK command does not work in version 6.1. With one parameter
you got the error message ***Range and with two parameters you got
     an additional ****Syntax error.
With this error removed, it turned out that you cannot salvage a
disk after marking a sector bad unless you quit SALV and start
     again.

>> 0701 <<
     a. The program is not sufficiently robust against some kinds of
        corrupted disk data. (PR 85176)

     b. The salvation of a disk after marking a sector as bad was not
possible unless you quit SALV and start again.

Reported errors, not corrected:
-------------------------------

DAMOS version doesn't work. (PR 86054)

CPECRs implemented in current release: 86297

Comments:
---------

>> 0802 <<

No DAMOS version from now on.
