******************************************************* R E L E A S E D E S C R I P T I O N ******************************************************* Module id number: CSS/214 -------------------------- Module name: MXDAF ----------------------------------- Actual release: 04.01 Release date: 860617 ----------------------- -------------------- Previous release: 03.03 Release date: 860312 ----------------------- -------------------- New facilities: --------------- >> 0401 << Many small changes to update the program to work with Kernel version 5 or later. Default for <page> in DUMPs is changed to last page. >> 0301 << PU's with a memory span of two megawords are supported. Dumps need not be preceded by a memory map. Instead the start address must be supplied. The MXDAF (dump analysis facility) is able to analyze a complete memory dump from a CR80-MXAMOS-computer and display it in a symbolic way. If a certain memory location can't be interpreted the right way it will be displayed as a hex-digit. A pointer to a certain data- structure is displayed as an index, f.ex.: a reference to a PCB is displayed as that PCB's logical-id. An illegal reference is displayed as: ill-ref, ilref, ill or in a similar way. The dump to be analyzed must either be generated by the MX-Boot-Loader- command: UD, as described in document no: CSS/7327/PSP/0111 issue 3, or be a consecutive dump with a start address given as a parameter to MXDAF. Invokation: MXDAF I:<dump-file> [C:<command-file>] [O:<output-file>] [S:<start addr>] <CR> If command-file and/or output-file are not specified the default files are current input and current output. Changes: -------- >> 0401 << You may LOCK a process without UNLOCKing the previous. The BCS support module 'DS' is version 1.2 . The TIME is read from the locations used by Kernel version 5. When start address is omitted in DUMP then last address +1 is assumed. Default count in DUMP is last count and not 8. >> 0303 << 4 Megaword PU's supported. Note that there must be memory in the first megaword. >> 0301 << Repeated patterns are suppressed in DUMP . The first and last line are dumped in the usual way but the rest is replaced by three dots ... Errors corrected: ----------------- >> 0401 << Error in displaying BCS buffers corrected. A bound violation occurred when shift operators were used in CALC mode. Loops in lists e.g. CPU ready lists could make the program loop. Compressed dumps were sometimes shortened.
