Module name: PARSING SYSTEM
-----------------------------------

Actual release: 06.01 Release date: 860905
----------------------- --------------------

Previous release: 05.02 Release date: 860701
----------------------- --------------------

New facilities:
---------------

  << 0601 >>

Now procedure nextsymbol is extern and therefore userdefinable
in the C and SWELL parser.
The modules are now contained in two libraries, one for
each of the languages C and SWELL.
With the new parsergen it is possible to give casenumbers
to each production in the input syntax, causing the effort
of expanding or changing an existing syntax to decrease
     significantly (see CSS/210/USM/0051 issue 5).

  << 0501 >>

Now even the SWELL parser returns the length excl. trailing nulls
of an identifier as the attribute (in R2).

Changes:
--------

  << 0601 >>
When using the nosemantic option the parser and Parsergenerator
must both have version 0601. Don't use an old parser with the
new Parsergenerator, when using the nosem option. If your
syntax does not use this feature there is no compatibility
     problems.
The new parsergenerator is only present in one size, but
for convenience this file is entered as LARGEPARSERGEN.

The PASCAL parser now handles escape characters like the C and
     SWELL parser does.

  << 0502 >>
     All parsers
     The RECOVER procedure suppresses follow-up-errors.
The delimiter scan is changed in case an error symbol is met
     (PR 86362)
     Code optimizations.

"Dead code" linked in C NEXT_SYMBOL)

PR 86448 (Ordinal value of an escape character returned in
               attribute parameter)
