Module id number: CSS/709
--------------------------

Module name: CR80 RAM TEST
-----------------------------------

Actual release: 01.03 Release date: 831004
----------------------- --------------------

Previous release: 01.02 Release date: 811022
----------------------- --------------------

New facilities:
---------------

Changes:
--------

Version 01.03 is able to determine the memory area
containing PROM automatically. In version 01.02 the memory
area #F000 to #FFFF (page 0) was always classified as
PROM. As the size of the PROM area is variable
     this was inconvenient.

The smallest memory area the program tests is now 2K word
(was previousely 4K). This is due to the fact that some
     systems only have 2K PROM.

During 'TEST REFRESH' the program now waits for approx. 60
seconds without memory access (was previousely one second).

'TEST REFRESH' and 'TEST DATAWIRE' is performed with inverted
     checkerboard pattern also.

The test strategy in 'TEST ADDRESSING' now corresponds to the
strategy in the CR80M memory test program.

Errors corrected:
-----------------

     - 'TEST REFRESH' was not performed with inverted checkerboard
       pattern.

     - During 'TEST REFRESH' the program should wait for approx. 60
       seconds wit«bs»thout memory access.

     - 'TEST DATAWIRE' was not performed with inverted checkerboard
       pattern.

     - 'TEST ADDRESSING' did not distinguish between pages. The test
strategy should be like that of the CR80M memory test program.

     - It was not possible to boot the module on XAMOS systems.

     - The program changed the baudrate of the console interface.

     - 'TEST ADDRESSWIRE' was performed outside the memory area
       specified.

Reported errors, not corrected:

CPECRs implemented in current release:
--------------------------------------

     473, 474, 475, 645, 840, 855

Comments:
---------

CPECR 472 could not be implemented because the contents
of the word where a parity error has been detected is not
     available in the CPU-SCM.
