7.1 T̲R̲A̲I̲N̲I̲N̲G̲ ̲O̲V̲E̲R̲V̲I̲E̲W̲
This proposal on training is based on the RFP and the
experience from similar projects.
The training will enable the different personnel categories
to operate the system, and the technicians to perform
maintenance required for system operation.
The following categories of courses are offered:
- System User's Course
- System Operator's Course
- Site Hardware Maintenance Course
- Depot Hardware Maintenance Course
- Software Maintenance Course
The training is proposed on the assumption that one
node in the system is used for the practical part of
each course.

A. C̲O̲U̲R̲S̲E̲ ̲D̲E̲V̲E̲L̲O̲P̲M̲E̲N̲T̲
After the Project Definition Phase is ended, the
Training Plan and the Instructor's Manuals will
be developed. The Instructor's Manuals contain:
The Instructor's Guide Sheets, The Lesson Plans,
and backup materials.
B. T̲R̲A̲I̲N̲I̲N̲G̲ ̲P̲L̲A̲N̲
The Training Plan gives a survey of how the planning,
development, and conduct of the training is accomplished.
The Plan is concerned with details of the training.
The objectives are stated, the requirements established
and the courses are described. The training methods
are outlined. The equipment, facilities and environment
to be used are explained.
C. I̲N̲S̲T̲R̲U̲C̲T̲O̲R̲'̲S̲ ̲M̲A̲N̲U̲A̲L̲
The Instructor's Manuals for each of the courses
will be developed. The manual contains a Course
Scheme, the Instructor's Guide Sheets, the Lesson
Plans and the backup material except self-contained
manuals, which are referred to from the Lesson
Plan.
D. I̲N̲S̲T̲R̲U̲C̲T̲O̲R̲'̲S̲ ̲G̲U̲I̲D̲E̲ ̲S̲H̲E̲E̲T̲
The Instructor's Guide Sheets state the goals of
the lessons. Based on the Training plan, the Instructor's
Guide sheet states the expected learning outcome,
the methods to achieve this, the facilities and
aids used, the way to test the outcome and the
time and number of lessons consumed. Refer to Figure
7.2-1.
E. L̲E̲S̲S̲O̲N̲ ̲P̲L̲A̲N̲
Based on the Instructor's Guide Sheets the Lesson
Plan is a coherent series of items developed to
state the contents of each lesson by separating
the lesson into single subjects and defining key
points for the instruction. An estimated time for
each lesson is given. Refer to Figure 7.2-2.
F. R̲E̲F̲E̲R̲E̲N̲C̲E̲ ̲M̲A̲T̲E̲R̲I̲A̲L̲
References are made to subject-related manuals,
