SITE PREPARATION AND INSTALLATION

This attachment contains further specification of the
documentation/effort requested in the milestone tracking
form.
R̲E̲F̲ ̲M̲T̲F̲ ̲P̲T̲1̲ ̲S̲I̲T̲E̲ ̲S̲U̲R̲V̲E̲Y̲S̲:̲
a) Mainsites 1-13 were performed in May-June 1980.
A survey report has been issued.
b) Mainsites Athens, Sonor, NATO and 20 Remote Terminals
Sites are pending. Preferably these sites should
be accomplished in Febr. - March 1981. The surveys
are to be planned in conjunction with SHAPE.

1) Envelope dimensions, including a plan view
as installed
2) Clearance dimensions needed for access, service,
maintenance, hook-up, operation, disk travel,
etc.
3) Equipment weight and center of gravity
4) Power and signal interface, interface cabling
(size, Qantity, type, connector attachment
type)
5) Signal and power cable entry/exit of racks
and pheripherals.
6) Ventilation requirements (location, flowrate)
7) Power supply requirements:
Power consumption, voltage, frequency, phase,
power factor, steady state current, maximum
transient current at turn on (or fuse size,
fuse type required)
8) Grounding of equipment
(Type of interface, grounding systems of racks
and pheripherals)
9) Special operation - environment considerations
(vibration, temperature, humidity, dust, EMI,
etc.)
10) Interconnecting cabling with reference designators,
cable no., cable type, size and signal data
(Wire lists)
11) Cross connection frames and patch panel details
(IDF) to be incorporated in the A-T-B-B drawings

are delivered to ILS with l site per month, starting
with first delivery 15/7.

ILS will do the follow up on this subject i.e. it will
be put on the agenda for progress meeting and request
will be submitted to SHAPE.

preparation of CWR and A-T-B-B (Refer to sRS para.
3.6.6.2)
1) Cable routing from CAMPS room to user terminals

during the surveys by SHAPE.
2) Same as 1. For site 14-16 due date to be agreed
to during the site surveys .

transportation of CAMPS.
The following data are requested:
1) Requirements for special shipping if any.
2) Packaging of modules, crates and fans etc. (i.e.
specification of shipment containers).
3) Any test performance or test planning concerning
transportation and storage. (test reports or test
specifications).

Identification by SHAPE of customs document or other
special shipping documents to accompany each shipment
have been requested in the transportation plan (CPS/PLN/007).

M&D will be used during site installation. The M&D
is needed per 1/1-1982 for planning and for training
of the installation technicians.
