In order to keep the know-how concerning governmental
systes and defence contracts, it is essential that
the ECC-team is kept together as I have described in
ref. a).
Currently 23 persons are employed in department 3032.
Due to the uncertainty of the ECC-contract, I have
worked out a temporary assignmet plan for the ECC-team

Activities Overview for the Period 851101 to 860701

1. G̲E̲N̲E̲R̲A̲L̲
Because of no ECC contract in Novembr 1985 an alternative
proposal for the use of the manpower resources in the
department is prepared.
2. A̲S̲S̲U̲M̲P̲T̲I̲O̲N̲S̲
The departments know-how is keeped intact and the team
remained physical in the department (see Operating
Plan 1986).
ECC contact award April 1986 and the ECC project will
be 100% named in July 1986.
3. E̲C̲C̲ ̲A̲C̲T̲I̲V̲I̲T̲I̲E̲S̲
The proposal includes activities to complete.
Activities overview:
- Stabil baseline: Developing a stabil system baseline
by closing several Proble Reports.
- Prefix 9: Developing of prefix 9, which includes
preparing of max. connectivity and database opdating.
- NICS TARE interface: Enhancement of the firmware
with variable buffer size, better resynchronization,
and make the FW useable fr NICSMA NICS TARE certification
test.
- Integration test of 4. split: Improved message
presentation on Visual Display Unit. The first
page of a message will be displayed in a stabel
form on the screen.
- Overload/spoling: The system will be able to receive
over 600 incoming messages in a buzy hour by means
of a buffer function (spooling).
- Documentation: Completion of the As Built documentation.
ECC product improvement activities, which are not included
n the proposal ??? (og hvad s>!!). The activities
are primary prestudies including report writing.
Activities overview:
1. Standardization and reuse of SW, HW, and documentation
(MX2, a.s.o.)
2. Flexibility to make the system device independnt
so that it is possible to use ...?.. advance (PC)
and tempest VDU.
3. Performance/functions, improve performance by ........
and redesign, and improvement of the system by
new functions.
4. System development tools to design, code, test,
ECCfault finding, and ECC maintenance.

The PC project is manned with 2 1/2 men in 1986.
