                         1  S̲C̲O̲P̲E̲

         The V11/V28 L/L ADAPTOR (from Atlantic Research Corp.)
         bolts onto the back of the PRT/P is an OEM Manual,
         which is grouped under Peripheral Equipment Manuals
         in the CAMS Documentation Tree.

         The CAMPS V11/V28 L/L ADAPTOR is mounted on the CAMPS
         TAPE READER/PUNCH (PTR/P), refer to CPS/TCM/025.

         The CAMPS V11/V28 L/L ADAPTOR mounted on the CAMPS
         TAPE READER/PUNCH (PTR/P) is supplied via common power
         line 220 vac.
         The troubleshooting procedure for the CAMPS TAPE READER/PUNCH
         (PTR/P) is described in CPS/TCM/026, Section 4.

         The troubleshooting procedure for the V11/V28 L/L ADAPTOR
         is specified in section 6.1 in this manual.

         The CAMPS setup of PTP/R and LL Adaptor is described
         in CPS/TCM/005 section 4.5, Controls & Indicators.

         The pages with the marginal reference 'DEPOT' are only
         applicable to DEPOT Level Maintenance.


2  C̲O̲R̲R̲E̲C̲T̲I̲V̲E̲ ̲M̲A̲I̲N̲T̲E̲N̲A̲N̲C̲E̲…01… (̲P̲T̲P̲/̲R̲ ̲A̲N̲D̲ ̲L̲/̲L̲ ̲A̲D̲A̲P̲T̲O̲R̲)̲ ̲O̲N̲ ̲S̲I̲T̲E̲



2.1      G̲E̲N̲E̲R̲A̲L̲

         Corrective maintenance consists of troubleshooting
         of the PTP/R and L/L ADAPTER, and replacing defectiv
         components.

         Defective components are identified by the troubleshooting
         guidelines given in the following sections.

         The defective component is replaced and forwarded to
         an authorized repair facility/depot.

         Described in the following are:

         -    test procedure for the combination of PTP/R and
             L/L Adaptor i.e. a test to verify that the unit
             is working correctly.

         -   The PTP/R and L/L Adaptor troubleshooting i.e.
             tables containing guide lines for troubleshooting
             the unit to module level.

             The L/L Adaptor Troubleshooting - site level

         -   A list of the PTP/R and L/L Adaptor site level
             spare kit.



2.2      T̲E̲S̲T̲ ̲P̲R̲O̲C̲E̲D̲U̲R̲E̲ ̲F̲O̲R̲ ̲T̲H̲E̲ ̲C̲O̲M̲B̲I̲N̲A̲T̲I̲O̲N̲ ̲O̲F̲ ̲T̲H̲E̲ ̲P̲T̲P̲/̲R̲ ̲A̲N̲D̲
         ̲L̲/̲L̲ ̲A̲D̲A̲P̲T̲O̲R̲

         The test of the PTP/R and L/L Adaptor as one unit is
         described in te Site Level Maintenance Manual, CPS/TCM/005,
         section 4.3.3.

         -   Section 4.3.3.4 step 4410 tests the PTP/R and L/L
             Adaptor via the TDX System using the Offline M&D
             Test.  The test includes a Puncher test and a Reader
             test.

         -   Section 4.3.3.6 step 300-6400 tests the PTP/R and
             L/L Adaptor using a communication tester.  The
             test includes a Puncher and a Reader Test.


2.3      P̲T̲P̲/̲R̲ ̲A̲N̲D̲ ̲L̲/̲L̲ ̲A̲D̲A̲P̲T̲O̲R̲ ̲T̲R̲O̲U̲B̲L̲E̲S̲H̲O̲O̲T̲I̲N̲G̲

         Troubleshooting at site level is limited to locating
         defective components listed in Table 2.3-1.

         Determine which part of the unit is nt performing correctly
         and refer to tables below for troubleshooting the PTP/R
         and L/L adaptor.

         If the trouble indication is not deleted when the guidelines
         are followed the authorized repair facility/depot must
         be contacted.

         The following sectons describe the troubleshooting
         of the:

         -   PTR in Table 2.3-1
         -   PTP in Table 2.3-2
         -   L/L Adaptor in section 2.3.1

         It is assumed that correct power is applied to the
         PTP/R and the fuses on the PTP/R ad L/L adaptor are
         not opened, and the PTP/R is operated correctly.
