10.2 C̲A̲M̲P̲S̲ ̲E̲X̲T̲E̲R̲N̲A̲L̲ ̲M̲E̲S̲S̲A̲G̲E̲ ̲F̲O̲R̲M̲A̲T̲ ̲(̲E̲M̲F̲)̲
The External Message Format consists of four fields
as shown in fig. 10.2-1. Field 5 is a permanent field
which is contained in the Interal Message Formats too.
Field 8 to 10 are temporary fields. Each field consist
of a number of records. The records can be addressed
by the record adddress names. The External Message
Format is only used for Messages, comments and VDU
pages:

10.2.1 T̲e̲x̲t̲ ̲F̲i̲e̲l̲d̲
This field contains the text part of a Message. For
Incoming Messages received via an external Channel
FL 12 will be contained in this field.
10.2.2 A̲C̲P̲1̲2̲7̲ ̲a̲r̲a̲m̲e̲t̲e̲r̲ ̲F̲i̲e̲l̲d̲
This field contains ACP127 parameters and descriptors
for the External Message Format (EMF), which are used
for:
a) Incoming Messages, comments and VDU pages received
from the external channels.
b) Outgoing Messages, comments ad VDU pages intended
for the external channels.
The field will for Incoming Messages contain an error
list if it is rejected to the MSO for garble correction.
The field is devided into three records as shown on
figure 10.2.2-1.
10.2.2.1 T̲e̲x̲t̲P̲a̲r̲a̲m̲e̲t̲e̲r̲s̲
The structure of this record is shown on table 10.2.2.1-1.
The record contains information about the size of the
message including number of lines, start-offset and
end-offset for each part of the message.
a) H̲e̲a̲d̲i̲n̲g̲,̲ ̲N̲o̲ ̲o̲f̲ ̲l̲i̲n̲e̲s̲
Number of Heading lines included in ACP127 Header Field.
This parameter always takes a value which differs from
zero.
b) H̲e̲a̲d̲i̲n̲g̲,̲ ̲S̲t̲a̲r̲t̲ ̲o̲f̲f̲s̲e̲t̲
Pointer to start of Heading relative to start of
ACP127 Header Field. This parameter shall always
be updated.
c) H̲e̲a̲d̲i̲n̲g̲,̲ ̲E̲n̲d̲ ̲o̲f̲f̲s̲e̲t̲
Pointer to en of Heading relative to start of ACP127
Header Field. This parameter shall always be updated.
d) T̲e̲x̲t̲,̲ ̲N̲o̲.̲ ̲o̲f̲ ̲l̲i̲n̲e̲s̲
Number of Text lines included in ACP127 Text Field.
If no text lines are available this parameter shall
be set to zero.
