1.1 S̲C̲O̲P̲E̲
This document specifies the Site Preparation Requirements
related to the CROSS FOX MPF.
NODECA/THN and Christian Rovsing A/S are responsible
for accomplishing the works as specified in this document.
In accordance with the contract, the SPR is subject
to review and approval by ACE COMSEC.
The preparation of this document is based on data obtained
during the site survey and listed in the CROSS FOX
MPF SITE SURVEY REPORT, SITE 101 (DOC. XFX/AUX/002).

Drawing 3-4916 lists all the CR provided equipment
at SITE 101 and shows the system signal cabling and
defines the basic responsibilities for this cabling.
The major assemblies of the CROSS FOX MPF system are
identified with a unit number.
1.5 S̲I̲T̲E̲ ̲I̲M̲P̲L̲E̲M̲E̲N̲T̲A̲T̲I̲O̲N̲ ̲S̲C̲H̲E̲D̲U̲L̲E̲
The following site implementation schedule is planned:

2 R̲E̲S̲P̲O̲N̲S̲I̲B̲I̲L̲I̲T̲I̲E̲S̲
The following responsibilities and interfaces are defined
for site preparation and site integration of the CROSS
FOX MPF system (ref. drawing 3-4916).
2.1 N̲O̲D̲E̲C̲A̲/̲T̲H̲N̲
NODECA/THN is responsible for:
a) Modification of the allocated CROSS FOX MPF room
as specified in this SPR document including power,
grounding distribution, and air conditioning.
(See chapter 3).
b) Preparation of the MCSF Room for workstation installation,
including provision and installation of workstation
tables.
c) Determination of routing and provision and installation
of all cable ducts for signal cables between the
MPF room and the Crypto room. (See chapter 3).
2.2 C̲R̲O̲S̲S̲ ̲F̲O̲X̲ ̲M̲P̲F̲ ̲C̲O̲N̲T̲R̲A̲C̲T̲O̲R̲
CROSS FOX MPF contractor (CR) is responsible for:
a) Verification of Host Nation site preparation works.
b) Physical installation of all CR provided equipment
in the MPF room, the MCSF room and the Crypto/Tare
room.
c) Connection of power and ground to all CR provided
equipment. (See drawing 3-4917).
d) Provision and installation of signal cable ducts
within the MPF room and from the MPF room to the
MCSF room for the CROSS FOX MPF workstations (see
drawing 1-450).
e) Provision and installation of all CROSS FOX MPF
related signal cables between the MPF room and
the Crypto room, the MCSF room and within the MPF
room (see drawing 3-4916).
3 C̲R̲O̲S̲S̲ ̲F̲O̲X̲ ̲M̲P̲F̲ ̲R̲O̲O̲M̲
3.1 G̲E̲N̲E̲R̲A̲L̲
This chapter defines the civil engineering requirements
related to the modification of the CROSS FOX MPF room.
3.2 C̲R̲O̲S̲S̲ ̲F̲O̲X̲ ̲M̲P̲F̲ ̲E̲Q̲U̲I̲P̲M̲E̲N̲T̲
a) The equipment layout for the CROSS FOX MPF room
is shown on drawing 1-453. CR will provide the
following major equipment:
pos. 1-5 CROSS FOX MPF racks
pos. 6 one supervisor terminal
pos. 7-9 three operator terminals
pos. 10 one system control terminal
pos. 12-13 two supervisor printers
pos. 14 one system control printer
b) NODECA/THN will provide:

3.3 F̲L̲O̲O̲R̲S̲
The CROSS FOX MPF room is provided with concrete floors
covered with vinyl tiles.
The equipment floor load calculated from Table 6.2-1
will be:

3.4 W̲A̲L̲L̲S̲
All perimeter walls are covered with fire rated tiles.
3.5 C̲E̲I̲L̲I̲N̲G̲S̲ ̲
The room has false ceiling covered with fire rated
tiles.
3.6 E̲N̲T̲R̲A̲N̲C̲E̲ ̲D̲O̲O̲R̲S̲
Entrance door opening of 900 x 2000 mm shown on Host
Nation drawing is adequade for equipment entry.
3.7 H̲E̲A̲T̲ ̲D̲I̲S̲S̲I̲P̲A̲T̲I̲O̲N̲
The total heat dissipated by the CROSS FOX MPF equipment
in the MPF room is calculated to be 7200 kcal/h. See
Table 6.3-1.
Note that the figures do not include heat loads by
personnel, light, test equipment etc.
3.8 E̲Q̲U̲I̲P̲M̲E̲N̲T̲ ̲C̲O̲O̲L̲I̲N̲G̲
The CROSS FOX MPF equipment does not require any direct
cooling. All equipment have internal blowers for forced
ventilation. A minimum free space for 200 mm above
rack top is required (see Figure 6.2-2).
3.9 P̲O̲W̲E̲R̲ ̲R̲E̲Q̲U̲I̲R̲E̲M̲E̲N̲T̲S̲
a) This section defines power supply requirements
in the MFP room. Reference is made to drawing
1-450 and 3-4917. The required power characteristics
are given in Table 6.3-2. The total equipment load
within the MPF room is calculated to be 8.25 KW.
(See Table 6.3-1).
b) The location of the power distribution board for
the CROSS FOX MPF equipment is shown in drawing
1-450. The rack equipment requires eight 20 Amps
and the terminal equipment four 10 Amps circuits
inclusive utility outlets. A recommended distribution
between phases is shown on drawing 3-4917.
c) NODECA/THN is responsible for the power distribution
up to the equipment pick-up points (see drawing
1-450).
Eight power cables for the equipment racks are
required. The cables shall be left with free ends
which shall be able to reach the floor plus five
metres.
The terminal equipment is supplied from four ciruits
and four cables terminated in power outlets at
the respective terminated location.
All outlets shall be a standard 3-pinned type with
line, neutral and ground confirming to national
regulations. NODECA/THN is to provide associated
power plugs for CR's equipment.
d) All equipment circuits shall be properly labelled
in the PDB in accordance with national regulations
to clearly identify the designated equipment. It
is further required to label all equipment outlets
and cables (free ends) with the PDB reference no.
and preferably also name or unit number of the
designated equipment.
e) All power cabling will be installed on wall or
overhead.
The main racks will be equipped for power intake
on top of the racks.
3.10 G̲R̲O̲U̲N̲D̲I̲N̲G̲ ̲R̲E̲Q̲U̲I̲R̲E̲M̲E̲N̲T̲S̲
In the MPF room all CROSS FOX MPF equipment requires
connection to a secure ground.
It is the responsibility of THN to provide a secure
ground in accordance with national regulations in the
CROSS FOX MPF PDB. The ground is to be distributed
to the equipment pick-up points as part of the power
cable.
The equipment connections from the pick-up points will
be made by CR.
3.11 S̲I̲G̲N̲A̲L̲ ̲C̲A̲B̲L̲I̲N̲G̲
3.11.1 M̲P̲F̲ ̲R̲o̲o̲m̲
The cable duct for signal cables within the MPF room
is provided and installed by CR. Refer to drawing 1-453
Minimum size of this duct is 60 x 120 mm.
To support the cable duct THN is requested to provide
and install bearings along the wall and above rack

The load of 40 cables is estimated to 20 kg/m
CR is to install and terminate the signal cables. The
signal cabling is illustrated on drawing 3-4916
3.11.2 M̲P̲F̲/̲C̲r̲y̲p̲t̲o̲ ̲R̲o̲o̲m̲
The cable duct between the MPF room and the Crypto
room is provided and installed by THN.
Minimum size of this duct is 60 x 120 mm or equal.
The estimated load is as specified in para 3.11.1.
CR is to install and terminate the signal cables.
The Tare/TRC cables are to be terminated at the red
patch.
4 M̲C̲S̲F̲ ̲W̲O̲R̲K̲S̲T̲A̲T̲I̲O̲N̲
4.1 G̲E̲N̲E̲R̲A̲L̲
This chapter defines the requirements related to the
MCSF workstation and the cabling from the main racks
in the CROSS FOX MPF room to the MCSF workstation.
4.2 M̲C̲S̲F̲ ̲W̲O̲R̲K̲S̲T̲A̲T̲I̲O̲N̲
a) CR will provide the following workstation equipment:
pos. 11 one MCSF workstation terminal
pos. 15 one MCSF workstation printer
b) NODECA/THN will provide:
1 table for the terminal.
4.3 L̲O̲C̲A̲T̲I̲O̲N̲
The workstation will be located in the MCSF room. (See
drawing 1-453.
4.4 S̲I̲G̲N̲A̲L̲ ̲C̲A̲B̲L̲I̲N̲G̲
The cable duct for signal cables between the MPF room
and the workstation is provided and installed by CR.
Refer to drawing 1-450.
Minimum size of this duct is 10 x 20 mm.
To support the cable duct THN is requested to provide
and install bearings along the wall.
CR is to provide installation and terminate the signal
cables to the workstation
The signal cabling is illustrated in the system diagram,
drawing 3-4916.
4.5 T̲Y̲P̲I̲C̲A̲L̲ ̲L̲A̲Y̲O̲U̲T̲
Typical layouts and access requirements are shown in
Figure 6.2-3.
Physical data are given in Table 6.2-1.

Black or filtered power is required as available.
The power outlets (220V/50 Hz), which are of the Host
Nation standard 3-pinned type, should be located as
indicated on drawing 1-450.
4.8 G̲R̲O̲U̲N̲D̲I̲N̲G̲ ̲R̲E̲Q̲U̲I̲R̲E̲M̲E̲N̲T̲S̲
The workstation shall be supplied with a safety ground
as part of the power cable.
5 C̲R̲Y̲P̲T̲O̲ ̲R̲O̲O̲M̲
5.1 G̲E̲N̲E̲R̲A̲L̲
This defines the requirements related to the Crypto
room concerning power, access etc.
5.2 M̲C̲U̲ ̲E̲Q̲U̲I̲P̲M̲E̲N̲T̲
CR intends to install the MCU equipment in a 19" rack.
For physical data see Table 6.2-1.
5.3 L̲O̲C̲A̲T̲I̲O̲N̲
NODECA/THN must specify the location of the rack under
consideration of the installation criteria for crypto
rooms.
5.4 S̲I̲G̲N̲A̲L̲ ̲C̲A̲B̲L̲I̲N̲G̲

5.7 P̲O̲W̲E̲R̲ ̲R̲E̲Q̲U̲I̲R̲E̲M̲E̲N̲T̲S̲
The MCU is regarded as black equipment and is therefore
to be supplied with black power.
Two power outlets (220 v/50 Hz) of the Host Nation
Standard 3-pinned Type, located within 1 metre of the
chosen MCU equipment rack location are required.
As stated on drawing 3-4917 each outlet must be fed
from a seperate phase and powergroup.
Recommended fuse size: 10 Amp.

A safety ground confirming to national regulations
is required for all MCU equipment.
