3.1 E̲Q̲U̲I̲P̲M̲E̲N̲T̲ ̲P̲U̲R̲P̲O̲S̲E̲
The equipment is provided for two purposes:
a) When connected to CAMPS/SCARS/TEST DRIVE/CCIS system
it shall behave as an operational PROTOCOL CONVERTER.
b) When in stand-alone mode it will behave as a software
development machine and debug system enabling the
creation of main memory resident and LTU/LTUX resident
applications software.
The system shall operate in accordance with the PC
System Specification PC/SDS/001, as current at the
date of this contract signature.
3.2 E̲Q̲U̲I̲P̲M̲E̲N̲T̲ ̲C̲O̲N̲F̲I̲G̲U̲R̲A̲T̲I̲O̲N̲ ̲A̲N̲D̲ ̲C̲O̲N̲N̲E̲C̲T̲I̲V̲I̲T̲Y̲
The equipment consists of a Protocol Converter processing
unit mounted in a TEMPEST rack. By hardware module
swapping the system shall operate as an operational
PC or as a development system.
The outline configuration of the equipment is given
in appendix C-1.
The number and connectivity of the peripherals is given
in appendix C-2.
The detailed central equipment quantities are given
in the equipment list.
The equipment shall be contracted and/or retrofitted
to conform with the actual or pending change status
of the similarly designed and constructed hardware
of the Protocol Converter at the end of the warranty
at that site.
3.3 S̲O̲F̲T̲W̲A̲R̲E̲ ̲C̲O̲N̲F̲I̲G̲U̲R̲A̲T̲I̲O̲N̲
The software to handle the functions of the PC in the
operational and development modes shall be provided.
The development software is listed in appendix C-3
and C-4.
The operational software and the source code and listings
of LTU resident firmware shall also be provided.
3.4 F̲I̲R̲M̲W̲A̲R̲E̲ ̲D̲E̲V̲E̲L̲O̲P̲M̲E̲N̲T̲ ̲S̲U̲P̲P̲O̲R̲T̲ ̲(̲O̲P̲T̲I̲O̲N̲)̲
In order to handle the creation of EPROMS for the operational
PC main memory and for LTU software, two additional
packages are required.
Prom programmer interface package (PPIP) allows files
formatted by the PROMGEN program to be loaded directly
into a prom programmer.
NP LTU Software Aquisition Program (LSAP) allows new
programs to be loaded from a Microprocessor Development
System and be included in the system such that on start-up
they load and use the updated code.
The interface shall be with a Hewlett Packard 64000
Logic development system for the function of loading
the code developed for the LTU and for receiving the
files formatted by PROMGEN for Subsequent PROM programming.
3.5 D̲O̲C̲U̲M̲E̲N̲T̲A̲T̲I̲O̲N̲
3.5.1 S̲o̲f̲t̲w̲a̲r̲e̲
Users manuals for AMOS KERNEL, TOS, Bootloader, and
all utilities listed in Appendix C-4 (Utility Program)
shall be provided.
Design Documentation and source listings of all protocol
converter applications software and LTU resident software
shall be delivered.
3.5.2 H̲a̲r̲d̲w̲a̲r̲e̲
Hardware documentation not delivered under the PC contract
will be delivered as technical manuals (to include
Floppy Disk Controller and Disk Controller). A hardware
assembly breakdown is to be provided.
3.6 A̲C̲C̲E̲P̲T̲A̲N̲C̲E̲ ̲T̲E̲S̲T̲I̲N̲G̲
3.6.1 I̲n̲ ̲P̲l̲a̲n̲t̲ ̲S̲y̲s̲t̲e̲m̲ ̲A̲c̲c̲e̲p̲t̲a̲n̲c̲e̲ ̲T̲e̲s̲t̲
When the PC system has been integrated in the factory
and a successful dry run of the test has been witnessed
and reported by the SHAPE appointed QAR the factory
acceptance test shall be carried out to verify that
the hardware is functioning according to requirements.
The tests shall demonstrate the use of the Protocol
Converter to perform the tasks of para 3.1. It shall
include, but not be restricted to, a demonstration
of the functional performance of the PC in operational
mode, a conversion of the system to development configuration,
the implementation of an update to the main memory
and LTU resident software and the successful inclusion
of this change into a working PC system.
3.6.2 S̲i̲t̲e̲ ̲P̲r̲o̲v̲i̲s̲i̲o̲n̲a̲l̲ ̲A̲c̲c̲e̲p̲t̲a̲n̲c̲e̲ ̲T̲e̲s̲t̲
This test shall demonstrate that the system as delivered
to site is capable of operating together with the CAMPS,
SCARS, CCIS, and Test Drive System in the ISSC environment.
The in-plant system acceptance test shall be repeated
on site to give SHAPE the assurance of such capability.

The bootloader residing in the CPU-SCM prom is CSS/123,
V0601, which will enable the programmer to bootload
