CONFIGURATION CONTROL BUS ADAPTOR
…02……02…CAMPS

                     1̲ ̲ ̲I̲N̲T̲R̲O̲D̲U̲C̲T̲I̲O̲N̲

This ECP is issued to introduce a Configuration Control
Bus Adapter (CCBA), which provides the possibility
of manually disabling the Watchdog Processor for maintenance
         and diagnostics purposes.

The Watchdog Processor is connected to the system units
(PU, CU, TU) by the Crate Configuration. Bus as shown
         in figure 1-1.

The CCBA is an adapter module which is placed in the
rear of the Watchdog Unit, offering the following features:

         a)  M̲a̲n̲u̲a̲l̲ ̲W̲C̲A̲ ̲D̲i̲s̲c̲o̲n̲n̲e̲c̲t̲i̲o̲n̲

A switch on the CCBA-panel makes it possible to
             prevent Watchdog interference, when maintenance
             and diagnostic programs are executed.

         b)  A̲u̲t̲o̲m̲a̲t̲i̲c̲ ̲V̲W̲A̲ ̲D̲i̲s̲c̲o̲n̲n̲e̲c̲t̲i̲o̲n̲

In case the Watchdog program is not executed properly,
             the WCA is automatically disconnected.

         c)  C̲r̲a̲t̲e̲ ̲C̲o̲n̲f̲i̲g̲u̲r̲a̲t̲i̲o̲n̲ ̲B̲u̲s̲ ̲C̲o̲n̲n̲e̲c̲t̲o̲r̲

The CCBA provides a CCB-connector on the outside
of the Wachdog Crate, which facilitates Watchdog
             and CCB replacement.

                2̲ ̲ ̲F̲U̲N̲C̲T̲I̲O̲N̲A̲L̲ ̲D̲E̲S̲C̲R̲I̲P̲T̲I̲O̲N̲

The principle diagram (figure 2-1) shows that the transmission
signal from the CCA is cut off either when the switch
is off or when the WCA signal AUTO ENB is off. This
signal indicates performance of the Watchdog Processor
         program execution.

                   3̲ ̲ ̲C̲C̲B̲A̲ ̲I̲N̲S̲T̲A̲L̲L̲A̲T̲I̲O̲N̲

The CCBA is slided into the crate besides the WCA and
the Crate Configuration Bus is connected on the front
         panel.

The CCB-signals passes the switch circuit and are forwarded
to the WCA by wire-wrap or flat-cable connection as
         shown in figure 3-1.
