3.2.1 D̲e̲l̲i̲v̲e̲r̲y̲
The shipping agency delivers the consignment at our
request either to the remote storage or to the test-room.
This transport is arranged by te agency.
Package inspection will be carried out.
The initial of the Incoming inspection Report-IIR is
filled in and the cartons marked with the relevant
IIR-Numbers.
3.2.2 L̲o̲c̲a̲l̲ ̲T̲r̲a̲n̲s̲p̲o̲r̲t̲a̲t̲i̲o̲n̲
The local transport between the test room andthe remote
storage will be carried out by "3 x 34".
3.2.3 H̲a̲n̲d̲l̲i̲n̲g̲
Unpacking will only take place in the test-room. When
a unit is unpacked a label/tag with the IIR-number
is attached to it, and it is assured that the carton
is marked with thesame IIR-number.
The empty cartons are placed on the shelves in such
a way that the IIR-numbers are visible. The units are
arranged at the table or the shelf below.
3.3 V̲I̲S̲U̲A̲L̲ ̲I̲N̲S̲P̲E̲C̲T̲I̲O̲N̲
Visual inspection is performed according to appendix

3.5 R̲E̲P̲A̲I̲R̲
3.5.1 Minor repair flow diagram is shown on fig. 3.1-2
3.5.2 Before any attempt to repair is made a fault analysis
is made. If the fault can be rectified by a few olderings,
adjustments, change of a single component or change
of PCB-modules this is carried out and after it has
been observed that the fault is corrected, the unit
is returned to resume the function-test.
If the above is insufficient to rectif the fault the
unit is passed to MRB for evaluation.
3.6 B̲U̲R̲N̲-̲I̲N̲
To improve the future serviceability a burn-in of 72
hours duration at an environment temperature of 40…0e…0…0f…C
has been decided.
During the burn-in each unit is checked for operatve
ability three times a day. If a fault is observed the
burn-in of the faulty unit is discontinued and will
be resumed to fulfil the burn-in after the reapir.
3.7 R̲E̲S̲T̲O̲R̲E̲
The unit with accessories are placed together with
a silicagel bag 500 ram in a plastic-bag and sealed
before it is packed in the relevant cartons.…86…1

Of all the peripherals to be tested the V.D.U. has
the highest quantity of units of an adequae size and
was therefore chosen as a basis for the plan of the
interior arrangement in the test- and handling-room.
Due to the warranty of V.D.U.s it is convenient to
test these in batches of approx. 40.
The test and handling-room is contemplatd to be located
in the basement. See fig. 4.1-1.…86…1 …02… …02… …02…

4.1.2 F̲l̲o̲o̲r̲ ̲S̲p̲a̲c̲e̲ ̲A̲l̲l̲o̲c̲a̲t̲i̲o̲n̲
One lot of V.D.U. (40 pc.) in cartons will seize 1.8
x 4 m…0e…2…0f… of the floor as the stack is not to exceed 3
layers.
The (un)packing process requiresapprox. 6 m…0e…2…0f….
The entrance must be kept free and there must be room
for a trolley-table to pass around.
Room for parking of 2 trolley-tables is allocated.
4.1.3 T̲a̲b̲l̲e̲s̲ ̲a̲n̲d̲ ̲S̲h̲e̲l̲v̲e̲s̲
All tables and shelves are assembled of standard bars
andmodules of 750 x 900 mm manufactures by "BV".
4.1.3.1 16 sections of tables are provided with a shelf below
the table top in a height of 15 cm above the floor
and are combined to one table 12 meter long which allows
successive test of 16 V.D.U.s
Access to the rear of the V.D.U. under test is necessary,
therefore the table is placed 0.9 meters from the wall.
4.1.3.2 A table consisting of 8 sections without shelves is
used for temporary storage of 8 V.D.U.s. Below this
table on the flor is room for the 8 cartons from the
V.D.U.s above.
4.1.3.3 The shelf-rack for packing material is combined of
16 sections provided with 2 shelves. The lower shelf
is mounted 1.65 meters above the floor. The shelf-rack
is arranged in the spacin between the wall and the
table and will store 32 cartons.
4.1.3.4 The room lay-out is shown on fig. 4.1.…86…1 …02…
