The following test equipment and material will be utilized
during the functional test.
Communication tester Tektronix Type 834 ROM-Pack 834R01
and 834R03.
Frequency stabilizer ABACUS with option board Type
233-5. Two potentiometers with knobs mounted in a small
control box. The knobs are scaled in frequency and
voltages.
Mains step-down transformer (220/110/18/10 V.ac) 25W.
Test-set NU DATA-CORP. Type 921-T
Frequency counter
Opto modem OM2, VERSITRON
Multimeter FLUKE 8020 A
Cables, two V24 with RS232 plugs/sockets cables, twin
fiber optical cable with connectors 2 Km long. Shorter
cable can be used in connection with attenuators.
Plastic template for picture linearity judgement.

4.1 T̲E̲S̲T̲ ̲C̲O̲N̲N̲E̲C̲T̲I̲O̲N̲
4.1.1 T̲e̲s̲t̲ ̲w̲i̲t̲h̲ ̲O̲p̲t̲i̲c̲a̲l̲ ̲M̲o̲d̲e̲m̲
The Delta Data terminal is via the internal FIBER OPTIC
MODEM connected through a 2 Km long twin fiber optical
Cable to a secondary optical modem, which is through
a V24-Cable connected via test-set 921T to the communication
tester 834. See fig. 4.1.1-1.
4.1.2 T̲e̲s̲t̲ ̲w̲i̲t̲h̲o̲u̲t̲ ̲O̲p̲t̲i̲c̲a̲l̲ ̲M̲o̲d̲e̲m̲
The Delta Data terminal, delivered with no internal
Fiber Optic modem, is through RS232 connector and via
Test-set 921-T connected to the communication tester
834. See fig. 4.1.2-1.
4.2 M̲A̲I̲N̲S̲ ̲I̲N̲P̲U̲T̲
4.2.1 A̲d̲j̲u̲s̲t̲a̲b̲l̲e̲ ̲I̲n̲p̲u̲t̲ ̲S̲u̲p̲p̲l̲y̲
To facilitate voltages and frequency variation test
of the Delta Data terminal, the mains input is supplied
via an ABACUS Frequency stabilizer which is altered
to a manual variable unit by swopping the control module
with option board 233-5 and connecting an auxiliary
control box.
4.2.2 M̲e̲t̲h̲o̲d̲ ̲o̲f̲ ̲I̲n̲p̲u̲t̲ ̲C̲o̲n̲t̲r̲o̲l̲
Module assy 40804 in the ABACUS Frequency stabilizer
is swopped with option board 233-5.
ON option board 233-5 is the voltages control for the
frequency oscillator IC6 and the voltage control for
the voltage stabilizer IC1 connected to the end-connector.
By connecting two auxiliary potentiometers to the relevant
4 pins on the end-connector it is possible to vary
the voltages output between 180 to 260V, and to vary
the frequency of the output between 45Hz to 65Hz.
The two potentiometers are mounted in a small adequate
box and through a five-core cable connected to the
end connector of the ABACUS unit.
By means of a Voltmeter and a frequency counter is
the two control Knobs of the potentiometers scaled
in Voltage and frequency.

5.1 I̲N̲C̲O̲M̲I̲N̲G̲ ̲I̲N̲S̲P̲E̲C̲T̲I̲O̲N̲ ̲L̲O̲G̲
The Incoming Inspection Log, App. A has to be filled
in carefully during the whole inspection and test operation.
When the inspection and test is terminated, the Incoming
Inspection Log shall be an annex to the concerned IKR.
5.2 U̲N̲P̲A̲C̲K̲I̲N̲G̲
Inspect the package and the unit for possible shipping
damage.
Attach the Acceptance tag T1 filled in with relevant
information to the unit and mark the carton with the
concerned IKR-number.
Check the unit serial number with the packing list
para. 5.3.
If any discrepancies are observed, report via the NCR-system.

TBD.
6̲ ̲ ̲V̲I̲S̲U̲A̲L̲ ̲I̲N̲S̲P̲E̲C̲T̲I̲O̲N̲
The following points have to be checked to fulfil requirements
to visual inspection:
a) Verify that all PCBs and the power supply are firmly
seated in chassis.
b) Verify that all connectors are firmly seated.
c) Verify that all cabling is intact, correctly marked
and anchored and that there are no broken or damaged
wires.
d) Check the interior for presence of foreign material
which could cause an electrical short.
6.1 V̲I̲S̲U̲A̲L̲ ̲I̲N̲S̲P̲E̲C̲T̲I̲O̲N̲ ̲F̲O̲R̲M̲U̲L̲A̲
The Visual Inspection formula App. B has to be used
to ensure, that all inspection points are checked.

duration of an environment temperature of 40…0e…o…0f… C is
carried out.
During the burn-in the unit is inspected three times
a day, at start of work, at mid-day, and at closing
time. This inspection is limited to a quick judgement
of the screen picture quality, that the keyboard still
can write on the screen and that no smoke, excessive
heat or smell is generated.
When the 72 hours burn-in time has expired
paragraph 7.2 INTERNAL DIAGNOSTIC
and
Paragraph 7.4 COMMUNICATION TEST
is carried out within 30 minutes.

The accessories are checked with the packing list in
para 5.3, and are together with the unit and a silicagel
bag of 500 gram packed in a plastic bag and sealed.
The plastic bag is then packed in the relevant cartons
marked with the same IKR-numbers.
Paperworks are filled in and completed according to
SD/STD/017.
