SHAPE should be aware of this parameter
when evaluating the EMI Rack solution,

inform
which
equipment
that
goes
into
the
racks.
At
remote
locations:
CR

install
modem
and
BPJF
in
a
standard
19"
rack
provided
by
either
CR
or
SHAPE.
SHAPE
should
SHAPE indicate
who
provides
the
modem
and
the
BPJF.
The
above
mentioned
equipment
is
in
CR's
opinion
not
in
the
letter
of
intent.
- The
crypto
and
RPJF
supplied
by
SHAPE
will
be
installed
in
racks
supplied
by
SHAPE.
- Multiplexers
and
opto
MUX/DEMUX
will
be
installed
in
tempest
racks.
These
3
items
are
supplied
by
CR.
CR CR will investigate the entire letter
of intent and will deliver the detailed
information to SHAPE.
d) SHAPE submitted the corrected Site
Network Diagrams previously submitted
by CR (ILS).
CR SHAPE will receive the updated document
from CR.
e) CR will investigate if Low Speed Printers
can be connected to the remote connection.

The Delta Data model 7260T was demonstrated
to SHAPE:
CR pointed out that the VDU, which is
intelligent, could impose security problems.
However, if anybody should attempt to
enter a program into the terminal from
the keyboard - and thereby take control
of the terminal - this would be prevented
by clearing the memory on a sign out
using a hard clear.
9̲ ̲ ̲S̲O̲F̲T̲W̲A̲R̲E̲ ̲W̲A̲R̲R̲A̲N̲T̲Y̲
SHAPE wanted clarified why the Software
Warranty had not been expanded to include
the delivery of all 16 sites.
CR answered that:
When the first contract was written for
the 12 sites, CR proposed a software
warranty of 12 month starting at the
acceptance of site one. As a consideration
to SHAPE the warranty period was expanded
to include the option for site 12 as
currently stated in the contract para.

When the contract was amended to include
the sites 13 - 16 the software warranty
was purposely not extended.

CR urged SHAPE to arrange the meeting

The subject was discussed. If the maintainability
and the spareparts are nearly the same
as the removeable disc, then fixed discs
can be considered.
The SHAPE telex on the subject not yet
received states the complete area of
concern which will have to be investigated.

in the revised ICD/002. Approx. 10 are
still outstanding.
SHAPE SHAPE will submit a telex with comments
on the outstanding DN's and also state
which DN's that have been included
in the revised ICD/002. The telex
will be sent prior to 20th December
1980.
