1 S̲C̲O̲P̲E̲
This test procedure specifies the functional tests
to be performed for Factory Acceptance Test of ATDL/MBDL
Converters (AMC), and of Spares for ATDL/MBDL Converters.
Test Report sheets for the test are collected in document
HAWK/PROD/TRP/001.
When this report is covered with the front page:
HAWK TECHNICAL ACCEPTANCE REPORT
and with filled in test report sheets constitute the
test report for a Factory Acceptnce Test, and the Hawk
Technical Acceptance Report.
A copy of the test report applicable to this test procedure
is attached as Appendix B.
This test procedure is classified as a NATO-HAWK INSPECTION
PROCEDURE of 3rd Category, and must not be chnged without
NHPLO approval.
Evidence of NHPLO approval of this document is given
in NH Form 107 attached as Appendix A. …86…1 …02…

3 T̲E̲S̲T̲ ̲C̲O̲N̲F̲I̲G̲U̲R̲A̲T̲I̲O̲N̲
A test drive system, which can simulate the ATDL and
MBDL links, is used to create a realistic environment
for the equipment under test.
ATDL/MBDL Conveters are tested as assemblies.
Spares are installed in an AMC-like environment, and
tested by the same procedure. To create this environment
some items have to be available either as equipment
under test or as supporting equipment.

N̲o̲t̲e̲s̲
1. This equipment is the minimum required for performance
of the test, i.e. the equipment has to be available
either as UUT or as supporting equipment.
2. When this equipmnt is used as supporting equipment,
it may be replaced with equipment carrying a different
version descriptor in the CR P/N, as long as the electrical
characteristics required for the test are maintained.
3. Different types of Fan Unit and Power Dst.Panel may
be used for supporting equipment.
4. Not required for the test of spares
5. Only applicable for test of ATDL/MBDL Converters
6. For test of Operators Panel Door, replace the door
of a Supporting Unit Operators Panel with the UUT.
7 Description of black boxes BB1 and BB1:
The black boxes are used when input from the Operators
Panels shall be simulated by the Testdriver System.
When the switches are in SIM mode no input can take
place from the Operators Panel but the Testdiver System
will simulate input from both Operators Panel at the
same time. In OP mode input can be made from the Operators
Panels. In both modes, input will be displayed on the
Operators Panel.
BB1 is used when simulating data from the OperatorsPanel
connected to the AMC. BB2 is connected to the Operators
Panel connected to the Testdriver System.
L̲i̲n̲k̲s̲
A capital letter in the column "link" indicates that
this equipment is an UUT, all other equipment having
the same letter (capital r small) is required for the
test, either as UUTs or as supporting equipment.
The same letter is used in connection with decisions
concerning applicability of test steps.(refered to
as groups).
The equipment is connected as shown in fig.3.1.
If two crates are used, they are interconnected via
the Main Bus Extender Boards with two Main Bus Extender
Cables, P/N 5.05400-00. In this case the modules are
distributed betwee the two crates (one power supply
in each).
Furthermore the following cables are required for connection
between equipment:
1. Power cables, 5.05409-XX for connection from Power
Distribution Panel to Crate and Operators Panel
2. V24 cables, .05344-XX for connection between ATDL
DCE Panels and ATDL DTE Panels and between AV24
I/F Panel and Operators Panel.
3. Internal Signal Cables, 5.05343-XX for connection
between MBDL Line Panels and MBDL Connector Board
and between ATDL Line Panes and ATDL DCE Connector
Panels.

The functions of the Test Driver System is described
in Ref (5) document. It shall be configured with at
least the number of ATDL and MBDL Links required fr
testing of the UUTs:

equipment in group A and for B: 4
No of links required for testing of
equipment in group E: 6
No of link required for testing of
equipment in group D and/or

The hardware configuration of the test driver system
is specified in Ref.(8) document. The equipment list
of that document shall be filled in wit serial numbers,
initially and whenever any of the hardware modules
are replaced. A copy of this equipment list shall be
appended to the test report, when used to report a
Factory Acceptance Test.
