1.1 S̲C̲O̲P̲E̲
This Assembly Breakdown illustrates and lists the CRT
Hardware on a remote site.
The purpose of this document is to assist assembly-/supply-/maintenance-/
and overhaul-personnel in the identification of replaceable
parts.
This Hardware Assembly Breakdown is made according
to reference designations for electrical and electronics
parts and equipment standard USAS Y 32.16-1968.
1.2 D̲O̲C̲U̲M̲E̲N̲T̲ ̲S̲T̲R̲U̲C̲T̲U̲R̲E̲
This document is separated into the following Headsections:
Section 1 Introduction
Section 2 Remote Terminal RACK
Section 3 Pheripheral Equipment
Section 4 Appendices
The sections 2 and 3 contain figures illustrating the
equipment and their general physical location and tables
specifying the components and the site configuration.
Section 4 is appendices containing general information,
i.e fuse tables and used types of screws, nuts and
washers.
1.3 I̲N̲D̲E̲N̲T̲U̲R̲E̲ ̲L̲E̲V̲E̲L̲S̲
In order to specify an exact equipment location, every
piece of equipment is given a reference designation
number. This hardware assembly breakdown is broken
down in (max.) 4 indenture levels.
I̲n̲d̲e̲n̲t̲u̲r̲e̲ ̲L̲e̲v̲e̲l̲ ̲1̲: CRT is broken down into units.
I̲n̲d̲e̲n̲t̲u̲r̲e̲ ̲L̲e̲v̲e̲l̲ ̲2̲: Consists for example of a breakdown
of a unit into rack equipment assemblies and cabinet.
I̲n̲d̲e̲n̲t̲u̲r̲e̲ ̲l̲e̲v̲e̲l̲ ̲3̲: Is for example a split up of a rack
equipment assembly into crate assemblies, mechanics
and internal cables.
I̲n̲d̲e̲n̲t̲u̲r̲e̲ ̲l̲e̲v̲e̲l̲ ̲4̲: Is for example a split up of a crate
assembly into PC-board modules and mechanics.

The above Reference Designation points out a BP-8 in
the Adaptor Crate Assembly.
The letter A is used to separate the branch numbers.
The branch numbers are made out from the physical configuration
except for the unit numbers. Numbering goes from left
to right (in a front view) and start in top of the
equipment.
