APPENDIX B…01…TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS
T̲E̲C̲H̲N̲I̲C̲A̲L̲ ̲R̲E̲Q̲U̲I̲R̲E̲M̲E̲N̲T̲S̲ ̲A̲N̲D̲ ̲S̲P̲E̲C̲I̲F̲I̲C̲A̲T̲I̲O̲N̲S̲
The power line filters to be supplied under this contract shall
meet the specifications and requirements specified in this appendix.
1̲ ̲G̲E̲N̲E̲R̲A̲L̲ ̲S̲P̲E̲C̲I̲F̲I̲C̲A̲T̲I̲O̲N̲
The power line filter is the component through which the power
lines enters the CAMPS mainframe. It shall be designed to preserve
the shielding effectiveness of the CAMPS EMI-racks where the
power lines penetrate the shield while still allowing physical
access to the power line connections.
2̲ ̲ ̲M̲E̲C̲H̲A̲N̲I̲C̲A̲L̲ ̲C̲O̲N̲S̲T̲R̲U̲C̲T̲I̲O̲N̲
The power line filter (PLF) is contained within a metal box
with a cover.
The PLF shall be mounted inside the top or bottom of an EMI-rack
Fig. 1 (drawing 30-941) shows the layoyt of the top cover plate
of the EMI-rack. Fig. 2 shows the outline and the constraints
for the one corner of the Power line Filter Box.
2.1 The PLF-box shall be designed to be placed within the
zinc plated area at the cover plate, fig. 1.
2.2. The PLF-box shall be designed to allow for the operating
curve of fig. 2 by using the model B design of fig.
2.
2.3 The design shown on fig. 3 is acceptable except for
the following notes:
a) 2.2 above shall be incorporated
b) Spacing between Amphenol/Tuchel connectors shall
be increased due to male connector dimension. Minimum
spacing: mm.
c) Amphenol Tuchel connectors need to be turned 90
degrees to allow access to lock releace knop on
male connector.
d) The PLF-box shall be constructed from 18 gauge
(..... inches) steel, zinc plated after fabrication
to prevent rust and provide a good contact surface
to the rack cover plate.
All exterior seamms shall be continuous welded
and ground smooth to provide effective shielding.

The DLF shall operate within the specified limits under environmental
conditions as specified below:
