3000 WD TEST ENTRY
The WD monitors and controls
the CAMPS H/W.
If the WD fails, it is automatically
taken out of service and the
objects controlled by the WD
will remain unchanged. The system
S/W will direct the active PU
error messages to the supervisor
report printer.
It is still possible to monitor
and reconfigure the CAMPS system
by LED indication and switchsettings
on the modules.
If the CAMPS system is reconfigured,
it is possible to communicate
with one of the PUs. The reconfiguration
procedure is described in step
3450. The boot and start commands
are not changed if the system
is reconfigured as described
in step 3450.
If the maintenance position VDU
fails, then the WD operation
not involving the VDU and the
printer continues.
If the maintenance position printer
fails, the system S/W directs
the active PU error messages
to the supervisor report printer.
The WD continues operations not
involving the VDU subsystem at
site level.
In case of an error in the WD,
the only remedy is to order a
new WD from the depot.
The test described in this section
of the WD is reduced to a functional
test in order to decide whether
the WD is working or not.

then the replacement of the
following modules are necessary
in order to isolate the error.
In the PU crate:

no damage on the modules.
b) Remove all front modules
from the WD crate.
c) Check all female connectors
on the motherboard.
d) Remove the WD crate from

(refer to figure 4.3.3.3-7
- 4.3.3.-10).
e) Check that all wires and
connectors are in proper condition
and properly connected (refer
to figure 4.3.3.3-11).

3905 It is necessary to verify that
the original error indication
is deleted before the troubleshooting
procedure is finished, therefore
1) GO TO the original ENTRY
POINT in the Off-line
Troubleshooting Tree (defined
by the System Troubleshooting
Tree).
2) Verify that it is possible
to execute the described
step-by- step procedures
without detecting any
errors.
3) If no errors are detected
the troubleshooting of
the WD Subsystem is finished.
4) Complete failure report
and logbook (refer to
section 6).
