The External Message Format consists of four fields
as shown in fig. 10.2-1. Field 5 is a permanent field
which is contained in the Internal Message Formats
too. Field 9 to 11 are temporary fields. Each field
consists of a number of records. The records can be
addressed by the record adddress names. The External
Message Format is only used for Messages, comments
and VDU pages:

This field contains the text part of a Message. For
Incoming Messages received via an external Channel
FL 12 will be contained in this field.
10.2.2 A̲C̲P̲1̲2̲7̲ ̲P̲a̲r̲a̲m̲e̲t̲e̲r̲ ̲F̲i̲e̲l̲d̲
This field contains ACP127 parameters and descriptors
for the External Message Format (EMF), which are used
for:
a) Incoming Messages, comments and VDU pages received
from the external channels.
b) Outgoing Messages, comments and VDU pages intended
for the external channels.
The field will for Incoming Messages contain an error
list if it is rejected to the MSO for garble correction.
The field is divided into three records as shown on
figure 10.2.2-1.

The structure of this record is shown on table 10.2.2.1-1.
The record contains information about the size of the
message including number of lines, start-offset and
end-offset for each part of the message.

of the message. If less than 9 characters is used
this parameter shall be filled out with spaces.

The Item Reference is derived from the CIF ID related
to the message.

The Filing Time is related to format line 3 of

of physical Records.
10.2.4 A̲C̲P̲1̲2̲7̲ ̲C̲o̲r̲r̲e̲c̲t̲i̲o̲n̲s̲/̲T̲e̲x̲t̲ ̲P̲r̲e̲a̲m̲b̲l̲e̲ ̲F̲i̲e̲l̲d̲
This field contains for an Incoming Message the text
corrections part of the message. The corrections are
contained in Fl 14 and 15. For an outgoing user prepared
message this field will contain Fl 12a, 12b, 12c, 12d,
12e. For the lay-out ref. section 10.2.3. For an outgoing
non user prepared message this field will be empty
and FL 12a, 12b, 12c, 12d, 12e will, if they exist
in the message type, be contained in the Text field.
This field consists of physical records.

This Information Format contains eight fields as shown
on figure 10.3.3.1-1. The Administration field contains
control information which specifies the amount of information
in the following fields, see figure 10.3.3.1-2 and
figure 10.3.3.1-3.
Each of the following fields will have a structure
as follows:

STATUS ̲CATEGORY ̲1,
STATUS ̲CATEGORY ̲2,
STATUS ̲CATEGORY ̲3: ARRAY(1..1) of STATUS ̲RECORDS;
A Record will contain between one and five categories.
a) R̲e̲l̲e̲a̲s̲e̲d̲ ̲M̲e̲s̲s̲a̲g̲e̲ ̲F̲i̲e̲l̲d̲
This field contains one status category. It specifies
for each released message the DTG, the Item Ref,
the Release serial number, the Originating SCD,
and the Item Ref for the associated Release notification.
See figure 10.3.3.1-4 and figure 10.3.3.1-5.
b) M̲e̲s̲s̲a̲g̲e̲ ̲i̲n̲ ̲o̲b̲e̲y̲e̲n̲c̲e̲ ̲F̲i̲e̲l̲d̲
This field contains five status categories:
- Messages sent for Release
- Messages sent for coordination
- Messages suspended
- Messages deferred
- Messages awaiting append
For each message in one of these categories is
specified a Time Stamp, the Item Ref, and the Originating
SCD. See figure 10.3.3.1-6 and figure 10.3.3.1-7.

Group field 1 of the VIEW indicates the number of lines
to be printed on the supervisor report printer. The
