production line, but are not able to perform factory testing for frequency variation
impact. Additional tests shall be performed on systems composed by CR80-contoller
and CDC disk drives.
Cost impact: Tests are needed to support the spe-
cifications of graceful degradation.
Comment: CR is willing to give a proposal for
the tests. The test requirements should
be discussed CR/SAPE. CR asks for SHAPE
opinion.
3. Informations on the actual configuration and the CDC/SMD9762 disks:
3.1 Start-up current consumption is shown on the curve
of appendix.
Initial peak current is not shown. When rating Uninterrupted
Power Supply (UPS) based on Static inverters, th compatibility
of the UPS-design with the disk system should be checked
carefully. An increase in the UPS-power rating with
a factor three to the start-up power may be necessary.
