information about length of segment and whether more segments are to follow or not.
The converter will be able to support data transfer between the end systems t up
to 9600 baud line speed.
2.3.3 F̲l̲e̲x̲i̲b̲i̲l̲i̲t̲y̲
The application software will be composed of functional components with well defined
interfaces between them. The protocols functions will be isolated and there will
be no direct interaction betwee the protocols of the CAMPS/SCARS side of the converter
and the protocols of the CCIS side. In this way future changes in protocols may be
implemented without having to modify the functionally unaffected part of the system.
Since the software is ocated in EPROM, any modification in software will, require
regeneration of EPROM.
