information stated in the RFP and experience from similar
projects.
The following gives an overview of the content and
arrangement of the offered documentation.

8.2 D̲O̲C̲U̲M̲E̲N̲T̲A̲T̲I̲O̲N̲
8.2.1 S̲i̲t̲e̲ ̲I̲n̲s̲t̲a̲l̲l̲a̲t̲i̲o̲n̲ ̲D̲o̲c̲u̲m̲e̲n̲t̲a̲t̲i̲o̲n̲
This documentation includes the electrical and mechanical
information necessary for installation of the equipment.
The documentation will include:
- Site Preparation Requirements (SPR)
- Equipment Installation Drawings (EID)
- Inventory List.
Refer to Section 6.3.
8.2.2 S̲y̲s̲t̲e̲m̲ ̲H̲a̲r̲d̲w̲a̲r̲e̲ ̲M̲a̲i̲n̲t̲e̲n̲a̲n̲c̲e̲ ̲M̲a̲n̲u̲a̲l̲
The System H/W Maintenance Manual covers the precedences
for system, sub-system, and equipment troubleshooting,
maintenance and repair down to module level.
For further information refer to Section 9.
8.2.3 S̲y̲s̲t̲e̲m̲ ̲U̲s̲e̲r̲'̲s̲ ̲M̲a̲n̲u̲a̲l̲
The System User's Manual covers the following aspects
relevant to system users:
(a) Message Handling

(c) Terminal Familiarization
8.2.4 S̲y̲s̲t̲e̲m̲ ̲O̲p̲e̲r̲a̲t̲o̲r̲'̲s̲ ̲M̲a̲n̲u̲a̲l̲
The System Operator's Manual covers the following aspects
relevant to the System Supervisor:
(a) Job Initialization
(b) Communication Processing
(c) System Flow Overview
(d) Message Handling

- Message Query Manipulation
(e) Menu Selection

8.2.5 H̲a̲r̲d̲w̲a̲r̲e̲ ̲A̲s̲s̲e̲m̲b̲l̲y̲ ̲B̲r̲e̲a̲k̲d̲o̲w̲n̲
The Hardware Breakdown Manual describes and illustrates
the assembly breakdown of the hardware tree in order
to help the staff towards the installation and maintenance
tasks, i.e. in identification of the replaceable parts
and the interconnection between the modules, units,
crates, and racks.
The H/W Assy Breakdown will provide the following information:
Manufacturer's part number, nomenclature, quantity,
and each equipment, its major assemblies, sub-assemblies,
and modules.
8.2.6 I̲n̲v̲e̲n̲t̲o̲r̲y̲ ̲L̲i̲s̲t̲
The Inventory List contains a listing of the items
supplied. The Inventory List has the following main
sections:
1. Main Equipment
2. Modules
3. Units
4. Crates
5. Racks
6. Auxilliary Equipment
7. Documentation
The Inventory List is structured with Type No., Description
Part No., Serial No., and ECO Status.
8.2.7 M̲o̲d̲u̲l̲e̲ ̲T̲e̲c̲h̲n̲i̲c̲a̲l̲ ̲M̲a̲n̲u̲a̲l̲s̲ ̲(̲T̲C̲M̲)̲
The Module Technical Manuals described all the modules
in the system as well as the I/O connectors and pin
numbering, applicable in identification of the interface
between the modules. They incorporate setting of jumpers,
switches, and preset adjustments together with the
explanation of the purpose of the LED-
indicators. They also contain drawings of the circuit
boards and diagrams, the parts list, the functional
description and the product specifications.
The Parts List includes manufacturer's part number
reference number, nomenclature, quantity, and stock
number of all electrical, electronic, and mechanical
components comprising each module or sub-assembly.
Each module, printer circuit board, and sub-assembly
will show the location of all components adequately
cross-referenced. The parts list will be provided indicating
the total quantity of each part used within the module.
For most of the modules proposed in this bid these
manuals already exist. Manuals to be developed will
follow the same standard.
Contractor proposes, that the Module Technical Manuals
are used to support the Maintenance Technicians in
their trouble-shooting of the equipment, as described
in the maintenance section of this proposal.
8.2.8 P̲e̲r̲i̲p̲h̲e̲r̲a̲l̲ ̲E̲q̲u̲i̲p̲m̲e̲n̲t̲ ̲M̲a̲n̲u̲a̲l̲s̲
Generally, the OEM documentation will be supplied to
ELBIT as received from the OEM manufacturer.
8.2.9 F̲i̲e̲l̲d̲ ̲C̲h̲a̲n̲g̲e̲ ̲N̲o̲t̲i̲c̲e̲ ̲(̲F̲C̲N̲)̲
The FCN identifies all information in case of Hardware
Design Changes, Software Modifications, and Spare Part
Changes. The FCN will be submitted to ELBIT up to the
end of the warranty period.
8.2.10 S̲o̲f̲t̲w̲a̲r̲e̲ ̲D̲o̲c̲u̲m̲e̲n̲t̲a̲t̲i̲o̲n̲
These manuals will include the documentation necessary
to integrate and maintain the software. The software
documentation will be divided into the following groups:
(a) System Software Manuals
(b) Application Software As-Built
System Design Documentation
8.3 G̲E̲N̲E̲R̲A̲L̲ ̲D̲O̲C̲U̲M̲E̲N̲T̲A̲T̲I̲O̲N̲ ̲S̲P̲E̲C̲I̲F̲I̲C̲A̲T̲I̲O̲N̲
8.3.1 L̲a̲n̲g̲u̲a̲g̲e̲
All the documentation will be written in English.
8.3.2 R̲i̲n̲g̲ ̲B̲i̲n̲d̲i̲n̲g̲
The documentation, bound between hard covers, will
be collected in a ring binding system for easy and
convenient handling by the user. This ring binding
system permits easy removal and insertion of pages.
It permits the documents to lie flat when opened at
any page. The ringtype binding mechanism (four rings
per sheet) meets the DIN STD 4-D 30 mm. The pile height
of each volume will be standard 49 mm.
8.3.3 P̲a̲p̲e̲r̲/̲P̲r̲i̲n̲t̲i̲n̲g̲ ̲a̲n̲d̲ ̲T̲y̲p̲i̲n̲g̲
The basic document medium for all the documentation
will be printed on paper of good quality (80 g/sq.m).
The paper size will be of standard DIN A4 format. If
necessary, Blocked Schematics and diagrams will be
expanded from this size.
The text will be either composed or typed using word
processing equipment. Type styles and sizes will be
in accordance with conventional typewriter font.
8.3.4 B̲l̲o̲c̲k̲e̲d̲ ̲S̲c̲h̲e̲m̲a̲t̲i̲c̲s̲ ̲a̲n̲d̲ ̲D̲r̲a̲w̲i̲n̲g̲s̲
The Blocked Schematics and drawings will be in accordance
with recognized industrial and national standards.
8.3.5 A̲p̲p̲r̲o̲v̲a̲l̲ ̲a̲n̲d̲ ̲D̲e̲l̲i̲v̲e̲r̲y̲
One (1) copy of each manual will be submitted to ELBIT
for review. The subsequent revisions/updates of the
preliminary manual are made upon agreement between
the two parties. The final manual one (1) copy will
after SPA be submitted to ELBIT for printing approval.
The updates of the final manual is made upon agreement
between ELBIT and CR.
ELBIT shall return the preliminary manual to CR within
3 weeks, and within 1 week return the final version
to CR for final printing.
