a) The DEPMET Supervisor VDU Package Specification
for the DEPMET project/19 is written to fulfil
the following objective:
- To provide user operational and development
personnel with details of the differences between
the CAMPS Supervisor VDU Package (CPS/SUP)
and the DEPMET Supervisor VDU Package (CDE/SUP).
b) The DEPMET Supervisor VDU Package Specification
defines the differences between CPS/SUP and CDE/SUP
to a level sufficient for a programmer to start
coding with a minimum of design effort.

The requirements to the DEPMET Supervisor VDU Package
are identical to those of the CAMPS Supervisor VDU
Package except for
- the DEPMET Hardware Configuration which does not
fulfil the CAMPS minimum configuration, i.e. only
one printer may be present for DEPMET
- the DEPMET shall allow for loop-back capability
on channels.
3̲ ̲ ̲D̲E̲P̲M̲E̲T̲ ̲S̲U̲P̲ ̲D̲E̲T̲A̲I̲L̲E̲D̲ ̲D̲E̲S̲I̲G̲N̲
The DEPMET Supervisor VDU Package is identical to the
CAMPS Supervisor VDU Package except for the semantic
validation of certain formats. This document identifies
only the differences between the two packages.
You are therefore referred to CPS/SDS/035 Supervisor
VDU Detailed Design Specification excluding sections
4.2.7.4.4.1, 4.2.7.4.6.1, 4.2.7.4.23.1 and 4.2.7.4.25.1
for the detailed design description of the DEPMET SUP.
The sections excluded above shall be replaced by the
sections in chapter 4 of this document.
4̲ ̲ ̲P̲A̲C̲K̲A̲G̲E̲ ̲D̲E̲S̲I̲G̲N̲
This section identifies the modules of the DEPMET SUP
which are different from the corresponding modules
of the CAMPS SUP. The section number following each
of the headlines in this chapter refers to the section
in CPS/SDS/035 where the similar CAMPS module is described.

This module executes the semantic validation of the
TEPC format in accordance with the requirements in
CPS/210/ICD/0002 Supervisor Commands and Procedures.
The DEPMET version of the module will allow the defined
shared printer to be one of the supervisor printers
as defined by the command SUPC.

The module checks that the device designators specified
references device designators reference devices of
correct types.
The DEPMET version of the module will allow the defined
ATOMAL printer to be one of the supervisor printers
as defined by the command SUPC.

ATOMAL printer concurrently.
c) One printer to be used as shared printer and supervisor
printer concurrently.
