a) Three manuals shall be delivered to the ACE Interagted
System Support Centre (ISSC):
1) Database Users, Maintenance and Generation
Manual
2) Software Maintenance Users Manual
3) System Generation Users Manual
b) The Database Users, Maintenance and Generation
Manual shall contain a description of the CAMPS
database, how it is maintained and how a new/changed
database is generated.
c) The Software Maintenance Users Manual shall describe
how to debuc/extend/modify the CAMPS Software/CAMPS
Software Packages.
d) The System Generation Users Manual shall describe
how to generate a CAMPS System given a new/changed
database and/or a new/changed Software Package(s).
e) This note presents the general guidelines to be
fulfilled by the System Generation Users Manual.
1.1 A̲P̲P̲L̲I̲C̲A̲B̲L̲E̲ ̲D̲O̲C̲U̲M̲E̲N̲T̲S̲

a) The System Generation Users Manual (SGUM) has been
divided into 6 chapters and four annexes.
b) If information already contained in other CAMPS
documents, or documents delivered under the CAMPS
contract (or contract amendments), are called for
in section 3.2 of this guideline, the kind of information
shall be described together with a reference to
the document in which the detailed information
is contained.

Chapter 1 shall contain a presentation (purpose and
scope) of the manual, identify applicable documents
and reference documents and define terms/abbreviations
used within the manual.

Chapter 2 shall contain an introduction to the manual,
describing how the information is organized and the
intended use of the manul.

Chapter 3 shall contain an introduction to the environment
on which a CAMPS system is generated.
a) Section 3.1 shall contain an overview/ identification
of the hardware needed for a system generation.
b) Section 3.2 shall contain an overview of the software
and utilities needed for the system generation.
The section shall also contain an overview of the
structure of DAMOS link modules and prefixes.
3.2.4 C̲h̲a̲p̲t̲e̲r̲ ̲4̲ ̲o̲f̲ ̲t̲h̲e̲ ̲S̲G̲U̲M̲ ̲(̲C̲A̲M̲P̲S̲ ̲S̲y̲s̲t̲e̲m̲ ̲G̲e̲n̲e̲r̲a̲t̲i̲o̲n̲ C̲o̲m̲p̲o̲n̲e̲n̲t̲s̲)̲
Chapter 4 shall describe the components which are necessary
to generate a CAMPS system. Those programs or modules
which are covered by e.g. Product Specifications (PSP's)
shall only be covered by a short description and a
reference to the relevant PSP, or design document.
a) Section 4.1 shall describe the components in the
DAMOS Segmented Kernel.
b) Section 4.2 shall describe the components in the
Global Parameter Setup.
c) Section 4.3 shall describe the components in the
File Management System.
d) Section 4.4 shall describe the components in CAMPS
Operating System. This section will also cover
the layout of CAMPS application S/W as seen from
the operating systems point of view.
3.2.5 C̲h̲a̲p̲t̲e̲r̲ ̲5̲ ̲o̲f̲ ̲t̲h̲e̲ ̲S̲G̲U̲M̲ ̲(̲C̲A̲M̲P̲S̲ ̲S̲y̲s̲t̲e̲m̲ ̲G̲e̲n̲e̲r̲a̲t̲i̲o̲n̲)̲
Chapter 5 shall describe how to generate a CAMPS system
based on the modules and components described in chapter
4.
a) Section 5.1 shall describe the bootmodule job including
the templates and how "to put on" a bootmodule
on the system.
b) Section 5.2 shall describe how "to put on" an application
on the system.
c) Section 5.3 shall describe how "to put on" a database
on the system.
3.2.6 C̲h̲a̲p̲t̲e̲r̲ ̲6̲ ̲o̲f̲ ̲t̲h̲e̲ ̲S̲G̲U̲M̲ ̲(̲M̲a̲i̲n̲t̲e̲n̲a̲n̲c̲e̲)̲
Chapter 6 of the SGUM shall describe how to maintain
generated systems.
a) Section 6.1 shall describe how to generate a modified
system, i.e. how to amend changes/modifications
for components of the bootmodule/application software/database.
b) Section 6.2 shall describe how to generate a CAMPS
system if new components of the bootmodule/ application
software/database shall be added.
