3.5 K̲e̲y̲ ̲P̲e̲r̲s̲o̲n̲n̲e̲l̲
This section describes the manpower resources available
to Christian Rovsing for the definition and implementation
of the ACDN.
It is customary that major contracts will be staffed
with a nucleus of experienced personnel from within
the company. These personnel will be assigned at time
of contract award if not before i.e. their experience
is in some cases helpful during contract negotiation.
The matrix shown in fig. I 3.5.1 presents the initial
assignment made of key and senior personnel to the
two phases of the program:
- System Requirements Specification and Program
- Program Implementation.
Furthermore, it lists some of the outside consultant
available to Christian Rovsing to support the ACDN
program.
The personnel identified in the "System Requirements"
column have been tentatively assigned to participate
in the "Requirements Definition Phase". Brackets indicate
parttime involvement.
Resum}s on the personnel shown in matrix are presented
at the end of this section 3.5.

Analysis, design, and development of traffic routing
management system (TRMS) for a specialized common carrier.
This system performs detailed hierarchical routing
decisions based upon logical extensions of the carrier's
network such as the addition of a new FX, IMT, switching
system, or newly served NPA. The decisions are the
interfaced into the carrier's network of CTSS's, thus
elimitating substantial amounts of error prone manual
data base updating.
Analysis of a DMR call history processing system for
possible inclusion in a network management system for
a specialized common carrier.
Network design for data and telephone networks for
optimal costs and response times. Studies for market
areas in data communications.

with Christian Rovsing International A/S as technical
project leader of a data communication network LMENET.
This network implements a standard private packet switching
network on ten nodes as a basis for a general transport

O̲c̲t̲o̲b̲e̲r̲ ̲1̲9̲7̲7̲ ̲-̲ ̲M̲a̲y̲ ̲1̲9̲8̲0̲
With European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN),
Geneva on a fellowship stipendiate working in the Data
Base Section of the Data Handling Division.
The work consisted of consultancy on and maintenance
of data base systems already implemented plus developments
in three areas:
i) Tools for APL software production
ii) Transfer of INFOL data base system from CDC
computer to IBM computers
iii) Data base system for the HP21MX computer
APL was used for development of a relational data base
system. To ease this task functions was developed for
enhanced editing workspace management, and printout
of APL programs on a Laster printer.
The INFOL (Information Oriented Language) is a data
base system using sequential files. Its language provides
complete facilities for interrogation, updating and
report generation. The system was converted from CDC
to IBM and made available both in batch and interactively
mode through a specially developed control program.
As a further development the system was enhanced to
use keyed VSAM files and access the IBM 3850 Mass Storage
System.

1̲9̲8̲0̲ ̲-̲ ̲P̲r̲e̲s̲e̲n̲t̲
With Christian Rovsing International A/S. Fron 1981
he has been in charge of the requirement study and
definition phase of the overall fueling system for
the second launch pad of ESA's lanuch vehicle Ariane.
The proposed system is based on distributed processing,
where information is centralized to a redundant minicomputer
produced by Christian Rovsing (CR80D).
The job has involved frequent meetings with the representative
of CNES (Centre National d'Etudes Spatiales) of technical,
project and contractual nature in Paris and Copenhagen.
The contract was awarded to CRI in November 1981, where
CRI has the position of prime contractor.
From 1980 - 1981 he was Project Manager of TMS1 software
subsystem (where TMS1 is the Test and Monitoring Station
installed in REDU in Belgium. TMS1 will be used to
test the ECS satellite on orbit).
The position of project manager implied defining and
planning the efforts of five analyst-programmers defining
and controlling software correctness tests, insuring
correct technical interface with the prime contractor,
MBB, and reporting actual progress and problems to
the client, ESTEC (European Space and Technology Center).
Successfull in-plant acceptance tests were held in
Copenhagen in July 1981.
An HP1000 computer is used in TMS1, running with RTE
IV-B operating system. Fortran was the main programming
language.
Robert M}rineau
Furthermore, he was a consultant at the European Space
and Technology Center in Holland, acting as an advisor
for the definition of a methodology to implement operational
computer programs, of the necessary documents and their
content.
The data handling division of ESTEC sub-contracts to
Christian Rovsing International all software programs
for satellite check-out during integration.
1̲9̲7̲5̲ ̲-̲ ̲1̲9̲7̲9̲
With Christian Rovsing AG as s Consultant at CNES (Centre
National d'Etudes Spatiales) for the development of
real time software on ground computer for ESA's launch
vehicle Ariane.
In the first phase, attached to the launcher division
(in Evry, France), the work consisted of making specification
and software definition for the computer dedicated
to check-out of the electrical chains, for the computer
dedicated to control the fueling of Ariane, for the
launch sequence executed by both computers, and of
controlling the production of the defined software
at ETCA.
In the second phase (residing in Korou, French Guyane),
apart from an overall responsibility of system software,
the work involved programming, integration and validation
of check-out software, as well as its maintenance until
the first launch of Ariane.
The computers were CII Mitra 15 running with MTRD (Moniteur
temps r}el disque). The high level language used was
PROCOL (Process Control Language).
1̲9̲7̲4̲ ̲-̲ ̲1̲9̲7̲5̲
With Amagerbanken, Copenhagen, Denmark as an Analyst/Programmer.
The main task was to create a data base on clients,
their accounts and associated information. System programming
tasks were also a part of the activities.
The computer used was IBM 370 running under DOS/VS.
Software supporting operator transactions was executed
under CICS.
Robert M}rineau
1̲9̲7̲3̲ ̲-̲ ̲1̲9̲7̲4̲
With SIMEQ (Computer Service of Quebec's Ministry of
Education) in Canada as a System Analyst, making a
report on the necessary software to extend access security
on IMS data base.
The data base created by the computer service, was
meant to contain academic results of all students attending
public schools in the Quebec province.
The object of the report was to limit the data base
access for a school only to the information relative
to student attending that school.
