4.5      F̲I̲L̲E̲ ̲M̲A̲N̲I̲P̲U̲L̲A̲T̲I̲O̲N̲ ̲P̲R̲O̲G̲R̲A̲M̲S̲



4.5.1    B̲i̲n̲h̲e̲x̲

         The file conversion program Binhex, refer doc. no.
         CSS/114/USM/0027 shall be supported.



4.5.2    C̲o̲m̲p̲a̲r̲e̲

         The file comparision proram Compare shall be supported.

         Compare shall compare two files for equality. The result
         of the comparision shall be output on a user specified
         output file.



4.5.3    C̲o̲p̲y̲

         The program Copy, refer to CSS/110/USM/0032, shall
         be supported.



4.5.4H̲e̲x̲b̲i̲n̲

         The file conversion program Hexbin, refer CSS/113/USM/0028
         shall be supported.



4.5.5    L̲i̲s̲t̲

         The file display program Listf shall be supported.
         

         Listf shall display the contents of a specified file
         one page at a time. Forward an backwad paging shall
         be supported.



4.5.6    P̲r̲i̲n̲t̲

         The line printer support program PRINT refer to CSS/006/USM/0033
         shall be supported.


4.6      D̲I̲R̲E̲C̲T̲O̲R̲Y̲ ̲M̲A̲I̲N̲T̲E̲N̲A̲N̲C̲E̲ ̲U̲T̲I̲L̲I̲T̲I̲E̲S̲



4.6.1    A̲t̲t̲r̲

         The program Attr shall be supported, refer to doc.
         no CSS/932/USM/0036. The attributes displayed shall
         besides those stated in te above referenced document
         include:

         1-  Date and time for the creation of the file

         2-  Security classification of the file.



4.6.2    C̲r̲e̲a̲t̲e̲

         The program Create shall be supported, refer to doc.
         no CSS/932/USM/00036. The set of input parameter t
         create as stated in the above referenced document shall
         be extended to include:

         1-  Date and time. By default this parameter shall
             be set by Create to the current System date and
             time.

         2-  Security classification. A default value may be
             defined.A security check shall be performed (user
             classification contra classification of file) before
             the creation is actually executed.



4.6.3    E̲n̲t̲e̲r̲

         The program Enter, refer to doc. no. CSS/932/USM/0036,
         shall be supported.



4.6.4    L̲i̲s̲t̲

         The progra List, refer to doc. no CSS/932/USM/0036
         shall be supported. Besides NAME, TYPE, SIZE, ALLOC,
         AREA as stated in the above referenced document the
         listing shall include:

         1-  Date and Time for the creation of the file

         2-  Security classification



4.6.5    P̲r̲o̲t̲e̲c̲t̲

         The program Protect, refer to doc. no CSS/932/USM/0036,
         shall be supported.



4.6.6    R̲e̲m̲o̲v̲e̲

         The program Remove, refer to CSS/932/USM/0032, shall
         be supported.

         I the invokation of the program Remove causes storage
         to be deallocated, all the deallocated storage shall
         be purged, i.e. overwritten with a random bit-pattern.



4.6.7    R̲e̲n̲a̲m̲e̲

         The program Rename, refer to CSS/932/USM/0036 shall
         be supported.



.6.8     D̲c̲o̲p̲y̲

         The program Dcopy, refer to doc. no. CSS/111/UAM/0050
         shall be supported.


4.7      D̲I̲A̲G̲N̲O̲S̲T̲I̲C̲S̲ ̲P̲R̲O̲G̲R̲A̲M̲

         DAMOS shall support

         -   on-line self test diagnostics software programs

         -   off-line diagnostics software testprograms

         which detects

         -   firmware, and
