The scope of this plan is to define the On-The-Job-Training
for Maintenance Technicians on CAMPS Sites and to specify
how the Operators will be trained on the various CMPS
Positions.…86…1 …02… …02… …02… …02…

2.1 T̲R̲A̲I̲N̲I̲N̲G̲ ̲S̲T̲R̲A̲T̲E̲G̲Y̲
The On-The-Job Training (OJT) for Maintenance Technicians
is a follow-up training of the initial formal training.
The training is base on the operational requirements
of the system, the maintenance plan, and the approved
spare parts list appliclable for the site.
The OJT-packages provide a training framework, assigning
self-study, practical tasks, and exercises/tests for
the stdent.
The scope of the Operator On-The-Job Training is to
provide a self-paced and self-guided training in the
operation and maintenance of the CAMPS.
The CAMPS operators are trained in an On-Line environment,
using the system for interactive O-The-Job Training.
The training is based on the Operator On-The-Job Training
package developed for the operators, supported by a
part-time instructor, being the Supervisor or the Resident
Site Technician.
2.2 T̲R̲A̲I̲N̲I̲N̲G̲ ̲E̲Q̲U̲I̲P̲M̲E̲N̲T̲
The training quipment used for OJT is the equipment
available at the site which may be either in Operational
mode (ACTIVE/STAND-BY) or Off-Line mode.
When using equipment in Operational mode, it is the
responsibility of the customer to determine, what effect
he OJT may have on the Operational status, and when
OJT can be carried out.…86…1 …02… …02… …02… …02…
2.3 T̲R̲A̲I̲N̲I̲N̲G̲ ̲M̲E̲T̲H̲O̲D̲S̲
The On-The-Job Training package is defining reading
studies in the relevant manuals before practical tasks
are later initiated. Quizzes are used to measure pogress,
point out areas of any student weakness, and to allow
students to recap sections of the training as applicable.
The training is self-paced, even if time frames are
suggested for the various parts of the training.
When sections of the trining have been completed, the
students shall consult the part-time instructor before
going on to the following sections.
If any difficulties occur, the students shall also
consult the part-time instructor for clarification.
The quizzes are of he multiple-choice type.…86…1

OJT-packages are developed for Operators and Maintenance
Technicians.
The OJT-packages are dvided into two groups:
- One group of packages is concerned with two peripherals
in the computer system: The Visual Display Unit and
the Medium Speed Printer.
- Another group of packages is concerned with the operation
of the CAMPS from the Suprvisor/MDCO/MSO Position
and the Maintenance Position, respectively.
Table 4.1 shows the interrelationsship between the
personnel groups and the OJT-packages.
The first part of the OJT-package (for the Medium Speed
Printer (MSP) and the Visual isplay Unit (VDU)) is
applicable for both Operators and Maintenance Technicians,
as this part is describing the operation of the MSP
and the VDU in Stand-Alone mode.
The other part of the OJT-package (the Supervisor/MDCO/MSO
OJT Manual, the Maintnance Position Operation OJT Manual,
and the Engineering Operation OJT Manual ) is applicable
for the Operators only.
Therefore the Operators/MTs should start the OJT doing
the first part of the packages for MSP and VDU before
doing the package dsigned for the respective position
they are assigned to operate.…86…1 …02… …02… …02… …02…

Each OJT-package provides a framework for the assignment
of self-paced tasks and study of applicable manuals.
The major sections of the packages are:
- Introduction
- Operation
- Maintenance (hardware
related packages)
Each section is divided into subsections, containing
the assignment of self-study of relevant manuals,
practical tasks, and multiple-choice tests.
The goals of the instructon are stated at the beginning
of each subsection. The job-assignments are stated,
defining the section(s) of applicable manuals which
will be read or referred to.
When tests have been completed, results should be
discussed with the OJT-superviso who decides if
the training can continue or if parts of the training
should be repeated.…86…1 …02… …02… …02… …02…
