1 S̲C̲O̲P̲E̲
This document outlines the scope and contents of the
CAMPS User Orientation Course.
2 I̲N̲T̲R̲O̲D̲U̲C̲T̲I̲O̲N̲
The course is intended for the initial CAMPS user personnel
participating in the operational test of the CAMPS
system at SHAPE.
The duration of the course is 2 days, where the first
day is conducted and supervised by Christian Rovsing
(CR) personnel, and the second is On-The-Job Training
which is performed by the students without supervising.
During this day, the students are using the CAMPS User
Manual and written exercises which will guide them
through the use of the most important parts of the
user functions.
The scope of the course is to introduce the students
to the CAMPS system and to familarize them with user
functions of the system, enabling the students to participate
in the functional test of the system.
3 C̲O̲U̲R̲S̲E̲ ̲L̲A̲Y̲O̲U̲T̲
For the first day of the course, it is assumed that
8 Visual Display Units and Printers are placed in a
laboratory with space for 16 students, with blackboard
or whiteboard and an Overhead Projector with a suitable
screen.
During this day, the students are introduced to CAMPS
and the CR supervisor guides the students through the
first use of the visual display units and printers.
Likewise, the initial use of procedures and formats
are introduced along with the use of manuals and exercises.
After this day, the students should be able to perform
the remaining exercises the following day without supervision.
The second day of the course, the 16 students are using
equipment around the staff cells, performing the written
exercises supported by the CAMPS User Manual. In case
of problems, the students can address the CR integration
team to get help.
The course is conducted 5 times, thus enabling 80 students
to be introduced to the use of the CAMPS system.
