The list of training materials for each course is specified
in ACCESS PART II - SUBPART G Section 7.1.2.3 courses.
The list of training materials includes the following documents:
1. T̲R̲A̲I̲N̲I̲N̲G̲ ̲P̲L̲A̲N̲
The Training Plan gives a survey of how the planning,
development, and conduct of the training is accomplished.
The Plan is concerned with details of the training.
The objectives are stated, the requirements established
and the courses are described. The training methods
are outlined. The equipment, facilities and environment
to be used are explained.
2. I̲N̲S̲T̲R̲U̲C̲T̲O̲R̲'̲s̲ ̲M̲A̲N̲U̲A̲L̲
The Instructor's manuals for each of the courses are
developed. The manual contains a Course Scheme, the
Instructor's Guide Sheetes, the Lesson Plans and the
Backup Material except self-contained manuals, which
are referred to from the Lesson Plan.
3. I̲N̲S̲T̲R̲U̲C̲T̲O̲R̲'̲S̲ ̲G̲U̲I̲D̲E̲ ̲S̲H̲E̲E̲T̲
The Instructor's Guide Sheets state the goals of the
lessons. Based on the Training plan, the Instructor's
Guide sheet states the expected learning outcome, the
methods to achieve this, the facilities and aids used,
the way to test the outcome and the time and number
of lessons consumed. Refer to Figure 7.1.2-2.
4 L̲E̲S̲S̲O̲N̲ ̲P̲L̲A̲N̲
Based on the Instructor's Guide Sheets the Lesson Plan
is a cohereent series of items developed to state the
contents of each lesson by separating the lesson into
single subjects and defining key points for the instruction.
An estimated time for each lesson is given. Refer to
Figure 7.1.2-9.
5 R̲E̲F̲E̲R̲E̲N̲C̲E̲ ̲M̲A̲T̲E̲R̲I̲A̲L̲
References are made to subject-related manuals, which
are primarily, manuals available to the student when
he returns to his site. Refer to the Documentation
Treee, Figure 7.2.2-1.

Students will be issued text books, manuals, work books
and handouts at the start of the course and students
will retain these items upon completion of course.
1. S̲t̲u̲d̲e̲n̲t̲ ̲T̲e̲s̲t̲b̲o̲o̲k̲ consists of extract of documentation
relevant for the training.
2. M̲a̲n̲u̲a̲l̲s̲ are used as backup material during the courses.
3. W̲o̲r̲k̲b̲o̲o̲k̲s̲ consist of instructions to carry out the
practical exercises and tasks during training in
the laboratory.
4. H̲a̲n̲d̲o̲u̲t̲s̲ (backup materials) are photocopies of visual
aids.
5. L̲e̲s̲s̲o̲n̲ ̲P̲l̲a̲n̲ based on the Instructor's Guide Sheets
is a coherent series of items developed to state
the contents of each lesson by separating the lesson

The User's Manual is an example of a modified standard
manual. This manual is used for On-the-Job Training (OJT)
of the system users on a specific project.
The SWELL Instructors Manual is an example of a standard
manual. This manual is used for customer training of
programmers.
