1.1      I̲N̲T̲R̲O̲D̲U̲C̲T̲I̲O̲N̲

         This test constitutes part two of the Factory Acceptance
         Test of CAMPS DEPMET.

         The purpose of the test is to provide qualification
         of loopback functionality of ports towards peripherals
         with actual application firmware implemented in Line
         Termination Units.

         The qualification is done by demonstration of hardware
         test programs using signal loopback.

1.4      T̲E̲S̲T̲ ̲S̲E̲T̲U̲P̲

         The test is performed on the DEPMET standard configuration
         as specified in ref. a and ref. b.

         It is assumed that the system is powered up and that
         the Watchdog is taken out of service.

         The test programs are delivered on two floppy disks,
         one for the LTU Loopback Test, and one for the TDX
         Loopback Test.

         The necessary test tools are:

         a)  a V24 Loopback Adaptor

         b)  a LIA-N Loopback Adaptor

         c)  an Opto Loopback Cable

         d)  a Data Communication Tester, Tektronix 834
