1. Introduction
------------
In reply to the request from SHAPE dated 16. september
1981, CR hereby submit a proposal covering the expansion
of the SHAPE site in order to facilitate the NAEW.
2. Price Quotation

The cost related to the change is a non-recurring cost.
The cost is devided into:
a) Change of documentation
b) Hardware cost
c) Testing
d) Transportation
e) Installation

This item covers the cost of updating/writing the
needed ECO's, the Systems Requirements Specification,
the System Design Specification, and the CR internal

2.2 The hardware cost
-----------------
In order to support the requested extension of
the SHAPE-site with 1 rack, 2 VDU's, 1 MSP and
5 spare links the equipment listed below is needed.
The implementation is based on the assumption that
the rack is added to the line termination racks
(rack D,E F) as rack G to form a four-bay rack
assembly.

3. Schedule Impact
---------------
The implementation of the change has the following
impact on the following line items:
a) Site Fabrication and Test, 5.4.4, 5.5.4, 5.6.4,
5.7.4, 5.8.4, 5.9.4, 5.10.4, 5.11.4, 5.12.4,
5.13.4, 5.14.4, 5.15.4, 5.16,4 will all be
delayed 1 month.
b) Civil Works Requirements 6.4. (5th - 9th delivery)
will be delayed 2 -4 weeks,
c) Site ATTB drawings 6.5 (2nd - 5th delivery)
will be delayed 2 -4 weeks).
4. Bidding Provisions
------------------
4.1 Validity
--------
The cost and schedule impact stated in 2 and 3
above are under the assumptions that the order
is given to CR no later than 1. nov. 1981.
4.2 Delivery
--------
The change will be delivered as part of the SHAPE
site.
4.3 Acceptance Criteria
-------------------
The change has no impact on the present acceptance
baseline. It shall be noted that the total current
connectivity has been increased by 8.
4.4 Type of proposal
----------------
Firm fixed price proposal.
4.5 Payment Plan
------------
30 percent at approval of proposal
70 percent of OEM equipment at CR receival
60 percent of CR equipment at factory acceptance
10% of CR equipment at site acceptance.
4.6 Of the quoted price Dkr. 350,000 represent cost
incurred in US dllrs, therefore Dkr 350,000 will
be payable in US dllrs applying the exchange rate
valid on 1981-10-13.
5. Engineering change description
------------------------------
The change consists of adding 1 rack of the type intermediate
to the SHAPE site. In the rack equipment will be placed
to support 8 fibre optic links to terminal positions
in the NAEW building. Here, only 3 of the links will
be connected to 2 VDU's and 1 MSP. The remaining 5
links will be left unterminated.
6. Main Memory
-----------
Please be aware that the addition causes an extra consumption
of memory. Therefore it is important that the main
memory in the two PUs is expanded by two extra module
(128K each) in order to maintain performance. This
memory was quoted in the telex CPS/101/tlx/0352.
7. Comments
--------
7.1 Pls. observe that the devaluation of the BFR should
be taken into account when considering the budget
constraints.
7.2 In order to further reduce the cost we suggest
that you reconsider your request for 8 OMDT-CAMAC
in view of only 3 peripherals being added and therefore
only 3 OMDT-CAMAC are strictly needed.
