1. S̲C̲O̲P̲E̲
The VDU Reference Manual is a OEM Manual, which is
grouped under Peripheral Equipment Manuals in the CAMPS
Documentation Tree.
Certain keys are disabled when the VDU is connected
into the CAMPS. These are described in the CAMPS and
Operation Manuals, such as the User, Supervisor, MDCO
and MSD Manuals.
When the VDU is disconnected from CAMPS the keyboard
functions are as described in this manual.
The splits (see section 1.2.2 Split Screew Operation)
are controlled by the host computer.
If a unused key has been depressed then the keyboard
is "closed" by the host (sound and display). The host
"opens" the keyboard again (see 2.3.3.5 Interrupts).
