Enclosure 4
C̲o̲u̲n̲t̲e̲r̲ ̲T̲r̲a̲d̲e̲ ̲O̲f̲f̲e̲r̲
Before signing the contract Christian Rovsing A/S is
prepared to arrange for a counter trade of Greek agricultural
products up to 70% of the contract value, i.e. covering
all payments under the contract except for the 30%
down payment.
Such a counter trade will be arranged through one of
the established agencies in this field.
As Christian Rovsing A/S has not committed itself towards
any specific agency, we are prepared to seek to accomodate
the customers wishes as well as with regard to the
agency as with regard to the specific nature of the
products.
Christian Rovsing A/S would thus welcome the details
of negotiations on this subject and accepts a satisfactory
outcome as a condition for contract award.
Enclosure 6
T̲r̲a̲n̲s̲f̲e̲r̲ ̲o̲f̲ ̲T̲e̲c̲h̲n̲o̲l̲o̲g̲y̲
Christian Rovsing A/S has identified the Greek market
as being of great interest to the company and the decision
has been taken to invest the necessary resources in
projects of interest.
The company recognises that the mutual interests of
Greece with respect to technology and the economy must
be taken into account, and to this end Christian Rovsing
A/S would welcome cooperative ventures with industry
in Greece.
As a sign of our involvement, talks aimed at the transfer
of high technology have already taken place.
A meeting with messr. George Eliopoulos and Statiatis
Kallianos of Hellenic Aerospace Industries was held
on March 1st 1984.
At that occassion the following specific items of technology
transfer were discussed.
- Hellenic Aerospace Industries (HAI) expressed an
interest in having Christian Rovsing A/S (CR) design
a chip for use in a project currently underway
for the Hellenic Army. Christian Rovsing A/S has
at their disposal socalled "costum design LSI"
capabilities. A chip designed in accordance with
these principles would replace a lot of discrete
components and make the HAI very competitive and
higly deliable. HAI will investigate sending CR
functional diagrams for evaluation by CR.
- Hellenic Aerospace Industries have designed a fire
control computer for the Hellenic Army and has
expressed their interest in Christian Rovsing A/S
delivering consultancy Engineering Services for
the solution of an electronic problem. HAI/CR will
jointly investigate this item.
- Christian Rovsing A/S is currently in their USA
based factory producing high quallity chip carriers,
which have found many military and space applications.
The market in Europe is repeatly expanding. CR
will therefore investigate the plans for setting
up an European production line for chip carriers
to supply the common market.
- Christian Rovsing A/S is currently producing special
purpose power supplies. HAI expressed an interest
in producing this type of electronics under a license
agreement with CR.
- The Hellenic Military is in a process of procuring
substantial communication- computer- and command
and control systems. In this connection there is
a market lack of Greek software capability. HAI/CR
will jointly investigate setting up of a national
Hellenic Defence Software Center.
- HAI explained that the Hellenic Army, Airforce
and Navy currently are planning command control
and information systems (CCIS), which will be wholly
or partly financed by NATO Infrastructure Fonds.
It was agreed that HAI/CR would investigate their
possibilities of teaming for the purpose of obtaining
prime contractorship for this type of project.
As it may be seen from the above a number of items
has been identified. This will during the coming phases
be further developed jointly by Christian Rovsing A/S
and Hellenic Aerospace Industries for the purpose of
presenting a detailed technology transfer plan, which
will form part of the evaluation to be performed by
Hellenic Aerospace Industries.
