The CTDS is designed to emulate the operational environments
of the CAMPS system. It interfaces to all CAMPS external
and internal I/O channels and handles all types of
level 1 and 2 protocols involved herein.
The CTDS can impose on the CAMPS System a workload
which resembles, as closely as possible, the external
traffic generated by NICS-TARE, SCARS II, CCIS and
low speed channels, and the internal traffic generated
from the users' terminal positions.
The workload is specified by means of scripts. The
scripts are written in a specially designed simulation
language SCRIPTGEN. SCRIPTGEN offers the test operator
a wide range of possibilities for specifying workloads,
plus it has a straight forward syntax, that makes it
easy to use.
The detailed System Design Specification is contained
in Appendix A.
