a) Inspect the module for possible damage.
b) Verify that the workmanship is in accordance with
CPS/AUX/009.
4 T̲E̲S̲T̲ ̲E̲Q̲U̲I̲P̲M̲E̲N̲T̲
The following test equipment will be utilized during
the test.
a) Pulse-generator, Philips PM 5715
b) Multimeter, Fluke 8020A
c) Adapter Power Supply, Metric
d) Test Adapter, CR
e) Test box, CR

5.1 T̲E̲S̲T̲ ̲C̲O̲N̲N̲E̲C̲T̲I̲O̲N̲
The test configuration is shown in appendix A.
All inputs to the V24 Monitor Module are interfacing
through a test adapter making it easy to replace the
board under test with another one to be tested.
The V24 Monitor Module requires a 2x9 VAC power supply,
which is supplied from the adapter power supply (ref.
sec. 4).
The necessary test signal is supplied from the pulse
generator (ref. sec. 4) connecting to the Test Adapter.
A rotary switch on the Test Adapter connects the generator
to the selected input on the V24 Monitor Module.

6.1 P̲O̲W̲E̲R̲ ̲S̲U̲P̲P̲L̲Y̲ ̲T̲E̲S̲T̲
Measure the voltage between ground connection and:
Cap. C3/+ to be within + 13C +̲ 10%
Cap. C5/- to be within - 13V +̲ 10%
Cap. C2/+ to be within + 5V +̲ 5%
6.2 O̲U̲T̲P̲U̲T̲ ̲T̲E̲S̲T̲
Connected the pulse generator to input on the test
adapter and adjust the generator to supply 600 Hz square
wawe plus/minus 2.2V amplitude.
a) Connect the Test Box to connector Ch. 1 on V24
Monitor Module.
b) Connect the pulse generator to Ch. 1 on the Test
Adapter.
c) Set channel switch on V24 Monitor Module to Ch.
1.
d) Now all inputs on the channel concerned are tested
sequentially.
Select the input to be tested by the rotary switch
on the Test Adapter. Inspect visually that the
relevant LED's on the front panel and test box
are turned on/off corresponding to the signal input.
e) Repeat steps a to d testing channel 2,3 and 4 respectively.
6.3 P̲U̲L̲S̲E̲ ̲T̲R̲A̲P̲ ̲T̲E̲S̲T̲
Disconnect the pulse generator, reset the pulse trap
and connect a cable to C2/+.
Now the switch S1 (ref. Figure 6.3-1) is set to position
"1" and switch S2 to position marked "6".
The cable is connected to the input of the Test Adapter
corresponding to the actual switch setting, and it
is visually tested if the LEDs marked "+" and "-" are
turned on.
This procedure is repeated for all combinations of
switch settings of S1 and S2.
6.4 T̲E̲S̲T̲ ̲R̲E̲P̲O̲R̲T̲
All test results shall be reported in a Test Report
(ref. appendix B).
