3.1.1 I̲n̲t̲r̲o̲d̲u̲c̲t̲i̲o̲n̲
As shown in Figure 3.1.1., the EVR module consists of three processes and two tables. The
Event Analysis Process (EVA) reads one EPM from the EV queue at a time and by look-up in
the Registration Command Table (RCT), it performs one or more of the following actions:
o Queue EPM in LOG queue
o Send message to Network Display Process (NED)
o Queue EPM in OU queue
The Network Display Process (NEDP) will, each time it receives a message, read the changed
data from FST and update the FIKS Display Table (FDT) to describe the new image for the color
-TV display
Finally, the NEDP outputs the changed part of the image to the color -TV and activates the
alarm horn if so specified in the message.
Figure 3.1.1-1, EVR Break Down
3.1.2 E̲V̲A̲ ̲p̲r̲o̲c̲e̲s̲s̲i̲n̲g̲ ̲f̲l̲o̲w̲
The EVA process receives all Event Pseudo Messages (EPM's) from the EV queue.
Based upon look-up in internal registration command tables (using EPM as look-up key), the
EVA will effectuate one or more of the following functions:
A: Requeue the received EPM in the LOG queue for logging.
B: Requeue the received EPM in the OU queue for generation of an outgoing network control
message.
C: Send an AMOS message to the Network Display Process (NEDP) for the purpose of updating
the network display on the color-TV and/or sounding the alarm horn.
3.2 I̲n̲t̲e̲r̲f̲a̲c̲e̲ ̲D̲e̲s̲c̲r̲i̲p̲t̲i̲o̲n̲
The format of the AMOS letter, sent from EVAP to NEDP is shown in Figure 3.2-1.
The parameters ID and TRUNK are copied directly from the EPM.
The RECM item is the registration command, read from RCT.
message type = NEDPC for NEDP command letter
Figure 3.2-1, Format of AMOS Message to : NEDP
For further description please refer to chapter 3.1
3.3 P̲r̲o̲c̲e̲s̲s̲i̲n̲g̲
The EVA will, for each EPM in the EV queue, perform the following execution:
o Read EVENT-ID from EPM
o By look-up, as shown in Figure 3.3-1, retrieve a Registration Command (RECM) to be used
for all further processing.
o Analyse the RECM and process as follows:
- RECM (LOG):
queue the EPM read from the EV queue into the LOG queue
RECM (DISP):
prepare and send an AMOS message to NEDP (see format i Chapter 3.2)
RECM (OUT):
queue the EPM read from the EV queue into the OU queue
RECM (SH):
search in a Special Handling action address table for an entry, identified by
the EVENT-ID (read from EPM). Jump to the action routine, specified next to the
EVENT-ID.
