a) Three manuals shall be delivered to the ACE I̲ntegrated
S̲ystem S̲upport C̲entre (ISSC):
1) Database Users, Maintenance and Generation
Manual
2) Software Maintenance Users Manual
3) System Generation Users Manual
b) The Database Users, Maintenance and Generation
Manual shall contain a description of the CAMPS
database, how it is maintained and how a new/changed
database is generated.
c) The Software Maintenance Users Manual shall describe
how to debug/extend/modify the CAMPS Software/CAMPS
Software Packages.
d) The System Generation Users Manual shall describe
how to generate a CAMPS System given a new/changed
database and/or a new/changed Software Package(s).
e) This note presents the general guidelines to be
fulfilled by the Database Users, Maintenance and
Generation Manual.

a) The Database Users, Maintenance, and Generation
manual consists of three volumes:

b) The Database Users manual shall describe the data
contained in the CAMPS Database revealing the functional
relations, syntax, semantics and Physical layout.
c) The Database Maintenance Manual shall describe
how to correct/modify/expand the CAMPS Database,
identifying the files, programs and prefixes involved.
d) The Database Generation Manual shall describe how
to generate a CAMPS Database from the files described
in the Database Maintenance Manual.
e) Each volume referenced in b) c), and d) above shall
be written as a selfcontained document.

a) The Database Users Manual (DBU) has been divided
into ten chapters and five annexes. The objectives
for each chapter and each annex are presented in
section 3.3.
b) Most of the information called out in section 3.3
is already contained in other CAMPS documents or
may be derived from these. References to the applicable
documents in this case will not be sufficient as
the main objective of the Database Users Manual
is to collect all Database relevant information
and present it in an easy comprehensively way.

Chapter 1 shall contain a presentation (purpose and
scope) of the manual, identify applicable documents
and reference documents and define terms/abbreviations
used within the manual.

Chapter 2 shall contain an introduction to the manual,
describing how the information is organized and giving
guidelines for how to use the manual.

Chapter 3 shall contain a description of the data in
the database significant for the environment (i.e.
networks and the sites interfaced with).

of the databases of two sites connected via a network.
b) Section 3.2 shall identify the relations between
the data of the databases of Sites connected via
a network.
c) Section 3.3 shall describe CAMPS reactions if the
relations described in section 3.2 are not fulfilled.

applicable, the representation of empty table entries
and system parameter fields shall be addressed.

organization of the Hardware Configuration tables.
c) Section 9.3 shall contain a description of the
organization of the processing tables.

package(s) utilizing the table shall be referenced
by name together with a reference to the document(s)
where the use and contents of the table are described.

a) The Database Maintenance Manual (DMM) has been
divided into four chapters and six annexes. The
objectives for each chapter and each annex are
presented in section 4.3.

documents are called for in section 4.3 the kind
of information shall be described in the DMM section
together with a reference to the document in which
the detailed information is contained.

Chapter 1 shall contain a presentation (purpose and
scope) of the manual, identify applicable documents
and reference documents and define terms/abbreviations
used within the manual.

Chapter 3 shall describe the database maintenance functions
which are possible to perform on the sites locally
when CAMPS has been installed.
a) Section 3.1 shall describe the database maintenance
functions accessible through the supervisor function
of CAMPS. For each table/system parameter updateable
by the supervisor the corresponding command codes
shall be listed together with a reference to the
appropriate section in CPS/ICD/002.
b) Section 3.2 shall describe the database maintenance
functions accessible through the Engineering Operator
Function of CAMPS. For each table/system parameter
updateable by the Engineering Operator the corresponding
command codes shall be listed together with a reference
to the appropriate section in CPS/ICD/002.
c) Section 3.3 shall in detail describe the reorganize
function.
4.3.4 C̲h̲a̲p̲t̲e̲r̲ ̲4̲ ̲o̲f̲ ̲t̲h̲e̲ ̲D̲M̲M̲ ̲(̲D̲a̲t̲a̲b̲a̲s̲e̲ ̲M̲a̲i̲n̲t̲e̲n̲a̲n̲c̲e̲ ̲a̲t̲ ̲t̲h̲e̲ ̲I̲S̲S̲C̲)̲
Chapter 4 shall describe in detail how a database for
a given site is modified/extended at the ISSC.
a) Section 4.1 shall identify all the CAMPS prefix
files and all the CAMPS data files which are related
to the database. The significance of all constants
and data referenced shall be thoroughly described.
b) Secion 4.2 shall describe the various types of
data source files for the database (Configuration
and Control data source files, Message Processing
data source files, Application data source files).
For each table/system parameter contained in the
database it shall be described to which of the
types it belongs. References to Annex F shall be
given.
c) Section 4.3 shall describe how to correct/modify
the database for each of the source file types,
except for the application data type described
in section 4.2. of the DMM. Correction/modification
may imply extension of tables up to the maximum
values defined in the SRS but not beyond these
values. References to Annex A, Annex C and Annex
F.
d) Section 4.4 shall describe how to extend the database.
Extension implies extension of tables beyond the
maximum values defined in the SRS or introduction
of new tables or System Parameters. The CAMPS Prefixes
and Data, Software Packages affected and how they
are affected shall be thoroughly described.
References to Annex A, Annex D and Annex F.
e) Section 4.5 shall describe how to maintain the
application data part of the database. The Software
Packages with private tables residing in the database
shall be identified, and for each software package
it shall be described how these tables are maintained
or a reference to such a description shall be given.
