4.5      V̲E̲N̲T̲I̲L̲A̲T̲I̲O̲N̲ ̲A̲N̲D̲ ̲C̲O̲O̲L̲I̲N̲G̲



4.5.1    V̲e̲n̲t̲i̲l̲a̲t̲i̲o̲n̲ ̲a̲n̲d̲ ̲C̲o̲o̲l̲i̲n̲g̲

         a)         Intake cooling air, if considered necessary,
                    shall be filtered such that the pressure
                    within the associated cabine is higher than
                    the ambient pressure outside. The cooling
                    air should preferably be exhausted to the
                    atmosphere at the top of the cabinet.

         b)         Resonance effects and vibrations because
                    of the ventilation and cooling shall not
                    cause any deteriorationof equipment performance.



4.6      A̲C̲O̲U̲S̲T̲I̲C̲ ̲N̲O̲I̲S̲E̲

         The maximum sound level due to noise emitted from the
         equipment shall be less than 70 dB (A) when measured
         under free field conditions by a precision sound level
         meter located at a point 2 metes distant from the noise
         source, and at the height at which the maximum reading
         of the meter is obtained.  The measuring instrument
         shall be in accordance with IEC publication 179 second
         edition 1973.
