Setting of Jumpers/Straps on the V24/V28 Low-Level
Adaptor for operation with the CAMPS is specified in
the CAMPS Site Level Maintenance Manual CPS/TCM/005,
Section 4.5 Controls and Indicators (4.5.5 Distribution
Equipment Subsystem):
T̲a̲b̲l̲e̲ ̲4̲.̲5̲.̲5̲-̲2̲ gives the Control/Indicator Function
of the 4-Channel Version.
The following figures gives the strap/jumper location
and setting for the mentioned application:

of the 1-Channel Version. The following figures gives
the Strap/Jumper locations and setting for the mentioned
application:

Section 4 APPLICATION in the ARC-Manual gives a description
of the general application of the V24/V28 Low-Level
Adaptor Module.
The specific application is described in the following:
To minimize cable emission when data is transferred
from the LTUX-S modules to the distribution equipment
(VDUs, MSPs, etc), the standard V24/V28 voltage levels
of +/-12V are reduced to +/-6V. Also the wave shape
of the signals are changed (slopes are flattened) to
reduce harmonic generation.
Two types of the V24/V28 L/L Adaptors are connected
to the LTUX-S channels:
T̲Y̲P̲E̲ ̲1̲: Transfers the V24 signals of 4 channels of
1200 baud.
By means of straps, the actual application is selected.
T̲Y̲P̲E̲ ̲2̲: Transfers the V24 signals of 1 channel (OCR
connection, Main Site). By means of straps the actual
application is selected.
The V24/V28 L/L Adaptor Module is supplied from a separate
18V AC Power supply in the CTX-crate.
Rectifiers and regulators on the V24/V28 L/L Adaptor
Module provide the DC voltages of +5V, +/-12V.
