S̲C̲O̲P̲E̲
This proposal for "CAMPS Reference System" is forwarded
in response to:
telex camps log no 1333: Camps Reference System dated
1 aug 83.
1̲ ̲ ̲B̲I̲D̲D̲I̲N̲G̲ ̲P̲R̲O̲V̲I̲S̲I̲O̲N̲S̲
1.1 C̲O̲N̲T̲R̲A̲C̲T̲
It is assumed that this proposal will result in a separate
contract between CR and SHAPE if the latter should
accept this proposal.
1.2 V̲A̲L̲I̲D̲I̲T̲Y̲
This proposal including the options is valid for acceptance
until October 1, 1983.
1.3 T̲Y̲P̲E̲ ̲O̲F̲ ̲P̲R̲O̲P̲O̲S̲A̲L̲
Firm, fixed price proposal.
1.4 P̲A̲Y̲M̲E̲N̲T̲ ̲P̲L̲A̲N̲
30 percent on order or letter of intent.
70 percent of OEM equipment cost to be paid on presentation
of certificate of conformance.
10 percent of all other costs to be paid on SPA.
The balance to be paid by monthly payments between
1-0-i and FAT.
1.5 P̲A̲Y̲M̲E̲N̲T̲ ̲I̲N̲ ̲U̲S̲ ̲D̲O̲L̲L̲A̲R̲S̲
Of the quoted price for Camps Reference System
Dkr. 11,178,042 represent cost incurred in US dollars.
This amount may be payable in US Dollars at an exchange
rate of Dkr. 960,- to 100 US Dollars.
1.6 D̲E̲L̲I̲V̲E̲R̲Y̲ ̲S̲C̲H̲E̲D̲U̲L̲E̲
The price proposal is made on the assumption that the
hardware production and the installation can take place
immediately after all other CAMPS systems have been
respectively produced and installed. It means, that
the factory acceptance test will be completed 1st July,
1984, and the site provisional acceptance will be completed
1st January, 1985 or eight months after SPA at SHAPE,
whichever comes later. As some HW-items have a long
lead time, CR need a L-o-i 9 months before the FAT
to be able to keep the schedule as stated.

3.1 H̲A̲R̲D̲W̲A̲R̲E̲
The hardware configuration required is shown in figure
3.1.
It consists of Tempest Dualised Main Equipment with
adaptors provided for metallic and opto connections
up to the equipped limit.
To the main equipment will be connected the following:
32 VDU PORTS OPTO 12 Connected to VDU devices
8 Connected to the test
drive system
16 MSPs PORTS OPTO 12 Connected to MSP device
1 CCIS PORT METALLIC Connected optionally
to
PC or TDS
1 SCARS PORT METALLIC Connected optionally
to
SCARS or TDS
6 TARE PORTS 2 Connected optionally
to
TARE or TDS
24 LOW SPEED PORTS, (MET) 12 Connected to circuits
and
12 to the TDS
1 PAPERTAPE READER/PUNCH Connected to PTR/P device
1 OCR PORT Connected to OCR device
Additionally there is 1 VDU and 1 MSP on the engineering
position.
In appendix A is shown the equipment matrix for the
system.
Appendix B specifies the connectivity of the CAMPS
ref. sytem and the rack configuration.
Remote Equipment.
This proposal is based on the following concept for
use of the remote equipment.
1) No connectivity in the main rack equipment is permanently
allocated to remote channels.
2) If VDU's, MSP's or OCR are going to be connected
through the remote rack, the following operations
must be conducted:
a) Move the adapters (opto or L/L, as applicable)
from the CTX-crate of the main rack to the
Adapter crate of the remote rack.
b) Connect (existing) Back-panels in the Main
site CTX-crates, where the adapters have been
removed.
This operation connects the LTUX-S channels
to the stat.mux of the main site. The channels
are now connected through to the remote site.
c) Connect the Terminal device (VDU, MSP, OCR)
to the remote channel entry of the remote rack.
d) No system operator activities (change of tables
etc.) are required to support the transport
of connectivity from main to remote site as
described in a) - c) above.
3) The following alternative combinations of connectivity
on the remote site can be achieved
a) 4 VDU's, opto or metallic
4 MSP's, opto or metallic
b) 4 VDU's, opto or metallic
3 MSP's, metallic
1 OCR, metallic
Note: Remote OCR, max speed: 1200 bps.

4̲ ̲ ̲S̲Y̲S̲T̲E̲M̲/̲S̲O̲F̲T̲W̲A̲R̲E̲ ̲E̲N̲G̲I̲N̲E̲E̲R̲I̲N̲G̲
4.1 D̲A̲T̲A̲B̲A̲S̲E̲
The database for the CAMPS reference system as described
in para. 3.1 will be generated, documented and tested
by CR.
4.2 S̲Y̲S̲T̲E̲M̲ ̲I̲N̲T̲E̲G̲R̲A̲T̲I̲O̲N̲
The System SW and the application SW will be installed
on the reference system. The operational software will
be configured to represent the hardware configuration
of the reference system as described in para. 3.1.
4.3 S̲Y̲S̲T̲E̲M̲ ̲A̲C̲C̲E̲P̲T̲A̲N̲C̲E̲
The reference system will be tested in a system test
the same as the functional test on a full site CAMPS.
4.4 S̲O̲F̲T̲W̲A̲R̲E̲
No additional software will be developed.
The SW delivered under the CAMPS contract will be delivered
according to the latest CAMPS baseline.
The support SW deliverables under the CAMPS contract
executed on the development system will enable the
creation of systems which will execute on the reference
system under debug/trace or without debug/trace in
"operational" mode.
5̲ ̲ ̲F̲A̲B̲R̲I̲C̲A̲T̲I̲O̲N̲
5.1 H̲A̲R̲D̲W̲A̲R̲E̲ ̲A̲S̲S̲E̲M̲B̲L̲Y̲ ̲B̲R̲E̲A̲K̲D̲O̲W̲N̲
A HW assembly breakdown at a level of detail as in
the CAMPS program will be delivered, as the basis for
fabrication of the system.
5.2 F̲A̲C̲T̲O̲R̲Y̲ ̲A̲C̲C̲E̲P̲T̲A̲N̲C̲E̲ ̲T̲E̲S̲T̲
The system will be factory tested as the CAMPS systems.
6̲ ̲ ̲L̲O̲G̲I̲S̲T̲I̲C̲S̲ ̲S̲U̲P̲P̲O̲R̲T̲
6.1 T̲R̲A̲N̲S̲P̲O̲R̲T̲A̲T̲I̲O̲N̲ ̲A̲N̲D̲ ̲I̲N̲S̲T̲A̲L̲L̲A̲T̲I̲O̲N̲
Site preparation requirements and ATBB-drawings will
be produced as on the main CAMPS contract. CR assumes
that a site survey can be conducted at the latest 8
months before SPA.
It means that the SPR will be delivered 6 months before
SPA, and the ATBB-drawings 3 months before. The site
verification is completed 3 months before, and the
installation can start 2 months before SPA.
The system will be installed in a site in Belgium as
other CAMPS systems. It is assumed that the cable distance
between the main rack and the remote rack is no more
than 15 meter.
A relocation to another site in Belgium will in addition
cost approximately the same. All documents have to
be rewritten, the HW dismantled, packed, transported,
installed and tested on the new site. Based on more
information a more detailed quote could be forwarded.
6.2 T̲R̲A̲I̲N̲I̲N̲G̲ ̲A̲N̲D̲ ̲D̲O̲C̲U̲M̲E̲N̲T̲A̲T̲I̲O̲N̲
A Standard Pascal, Swell and DAMOS utilities course
(8 days) is quoted for 6 students to be given on a
site in Belgium. The quote is given under the assumption
that a computer with the necessary peripherals is available
at this site and that the course can be given before
february 1, 85. As an extension to the standard courses
a one week CAMPS orientation course will be given on
the same assumptions.
A 2 weeks CAMPS system and database generation course
is quoted for max 6 students to be held at CR.
A system generation manual for the reference system
will be developed.
One copy of all Wang resident CAMPS SW-documentation
and HW-documentation on floppy discette plus one reproduction
master paper copy of the same material is quoted as
an option. Only documentation available on the Wang
textprocessor will be delivered on floppy discette.
No other documentation will be delivered, as CR understands
that copies of the CAMPS site documentation will be
delivered directly from SHAPE to ISSC.
6.3 M̲A̲I̲N̲T̲E̲N̲A̲N̲C̲E̲
The costs of HW-and SW-warranty on the conditions as
in the main CAMPS contract during the one year warranty
period from the SPA are included in the proposal.
If a shorter warranty period is requested, the costs
can be cut down proportionally.
As an extension to the normal warranty conditions,
CR-rep. visit on site is quoted too as an option. The
quote includes an on-call service for HW or SW errors
which cannot be isolated/reproduced as the warranty
conditions calls for. The price quoted is for one man-working
week. Every time a new week is started an additional
one week cost is added.
6.4 S̲P̲A̲R̲E̲S̲
The amount of money available for spares does not allow
SHAPE to purchase the number of spares recommended
by CR, to ensure full availability of the reference
system.
In Appendix C is the spare parts list for an operational
site given with unit prices quoted.
The recommended spares will cost Dkr. 1,225,238 for
the reference system.
If only 30% of the money is available, CR recommends
that modules are purchased to ensure that the reference
system can run non-dualized with degraded connectivity.
Spare parts for a reference system running dualized,
but with degraded connectivity are defined too. The
spare part cost for this option is Dkr. 584,423.
6.5 L̲A̲T̲E̲R̲ ̲I̲N̲S̲T̲A̲L̲L̲A̲T̲I̲O̲N̲ ̲D̲A̲T̲E̲
As an option the additional costs at a later installation
date, if it is requested by SHAPE, is quoted. The costs
cover storage of systems, retest of system in factory
and reeducation of installation team. CR assumes that
the SPA takes place 1 year later than scheduled.
The warranty period will, independent of the new installation
date, expire one year after the original scheduled
SPA (see 1.6).
