S̲C̲O̲P̲E̲
This proposal for "CAMPS Test Drive System" is forwarded
in response to:
Telex camps log no 1341: "CAMPS Development and test
drives system", dated 10. Aug 83.
The proposal covers item (3) a CAMPS development system.
Proposals for item (1): a CAMPS development system
and for item (2): a protocol converter and a development
system are not included, but will be forwarded separately.
1̲ ̲ ̲B̲I̲D̲D̲I̲N̲G̲ ̲P̲R̲O̲V̲I̲S̲I̲O̲N̲S̲
1.1 C̲O̲N̲T̲R̲A̲C̲T̲
It is assumed that this proposal will result in a separate
contract between CR and SHAPE if the latter should
accept this proposal.
1.2 V̲A̲L̲I̲D̲I̲T̲Y̲
This proposal including the options is valid for acceptance
until October 1, 1983. For the period from October
1, 1983 to January 1, 1984 a monthly escalation of
0.8% will be added to the price.
1.3 T̲Y̲P̲E̲ ̲O̲F̲ ̲P̲R̲O̲P̲O̲S̲A̲L̲
Firm, fixed price proposal.
1.4 P̲A̲Y̲M̲E̲N̲T̲ ̲P̲L̲A̲N̲
30 percent on order or letter of intent.
70 percent of OEM equipment cost to be paid on presentation
of certificate of conformance.
10 percent of all other costs to be paid on SPA.
The balance to be paid by monthly payments between
1-0-i and FAT.
1.5 P̲A̲Y̲M̲E̲N̲T̲ ̲I̲N̲ ̲U̲S̲ ̲D̲O̲L̲L̲A̲R̲S̲
Of the quoted price for Camps Test Drive System
Dkr. 7,612,673 represent cost incurred in US dollars.
This amount may be payable in US Dollars at an exchange
rate of Dkr. 960,- to 100 US Dollars.
1.6 D̲E̲L̲I̲V̲E̲R̲Y̲ ̲S̲C̲H̲E̲D̲U̲L̲E̲
The price proposal is made on the assumption that the
hardware production and the installation can take place
immediately after all other CAMPS systems have been
respectively produced and installed. It means, that
the factory acceptance test will be completed 1st September,
1984, and the site provisional acceptance will be completed
1st January, 1985 or eight months after SPA at SHAPE,
whichever comes later. As some HW-items have a long
lead time, CR need a L-o-i 9 months before the FAT
to be able to keep the schedule as stated.

4.1 S̲Y̲S̲T̲E̲M̲ ̲I̲N̲T̲E̲G̲R̲A̲T̲I̲O̲N̲
The System SW will be installed on the test drive system,
together with the additional SW mentioned in 4.2.
4.2 S̲O̲F̲T̲W̲A̲R̲E̲
The following will be delivered:
All software to enable the TDS to drive the reference
system CAMPS with defined messages and transaction
in a defined manner (timings, message contents, etc).
All software to enable the creation of the transaction
sequences and contents prior to a test run.
5̲ ̲ ̲F̲A̲B̲R̲I̲C̲A̲T̲I̲O̲N̲
5.1 H̲A̲R̲D̲W̲A̲R̲E̲ ̲A̲S̲S̲E̲M̲B̲L̲Y̲ ̲B̲R̲E̲A̲K̲D̲O̲W̲N̲
A HW assembly breakdown will be delivered, as the basis
for fabrication of the system.
5.2 F̲A̲C̲T̲O̲R̲Y̲ ̲A̲C̲C̲E̲P̲T̲A̲N̲C̲E̲ ̲T̲E̲S̲T̲
The system will be factory tested prior to shipment.
6̲ ̲ ̲L̲O̲G̲I̲S̲T̲I̲C̲S̲ ̲S̲U̲P̲P̲O̲R̲T̲
6.1 T̲R̲A̲N̲S̲P̲O̲R̲T̲A̲T̲I̲O̲N̲ ̲A̲N̲D̲ ̲I̲N̲S̲T̲A̲L̲L̲A̲T̲I̲O̲N̲
Site preparation requirements and ATBB-drawings will
be produced as on the main CAMPS contract. CR assumes
that a site survey can be conducted at the latest 5
months before SPA.
It means that the SPR will be delivered 4 months before
SPA, and the ATBB-drawings 2 months before. The site
verification is completed 2 months before, and the
installation can start 1 month before SPA.
The system will be installed on a site in Belgium.
The price proposal assumes that the test drive system
is installed independently of the reference system.
6.2 T̲R̲A̲I̲N̲I̲N̲G̲ ̲A̲N̲D̲ ̲D̲O̲C̲U̲M̲E̲N̲T̲A̲T̲I̲O̲N̲
Development and Conduction of a two week course for
6 students on the use of the CAMPS-specific test drive
system is quoted.
The course is scheduled for late 84, to be held at
CR, or in Belgium, if the necessary computer equipment
is available.
An operator manual for the test drive system is developed.
It gives an overview of all test drive tools, how they
are used during tests, how changes of different kinds
may be made using the tools, how testing is carried
out etc.
No other documentation will be delivered, as CR understands
that copies of the CAMPS site documentation will be
delivered directly from SHAPE to ISSC.
6.3 M̲A̲I̲N̲T̲E̲N̲A̲N̲C̲E̲
The costs of HW-and SW-warranty on the conditions as
in the main CAMPS contract during the one year warranty
period from the site delivery are included in the proposal.
If a shorter warranty period is requested, the costs
can be cut proportionally.
6.4 S̲P̲A̲R̲E̲S̲
To ensure that spares for 90 days are available CR
recommends SHAPE to purchase spares as for an operational
site.
In Appendix C the spare parts list is given under that
assumption.
The recommended spares will cost Dkr. 1,062,231 for
the test drive system.
Spare parts for a test drive system runnning with a
degraded connectivity are defined too. The spare part
costs for this option is Dkr. 539,053.
