This specification defines the interface pin-configuration,
the electrical characteristics and the physical dimension
of the Optical Data Communication Card-System (ODCCS).

The ODCCS is a full duplex, transparent, asynchronous
link between data terminal equipment and data communication
equipment.
The interchange circuits shall respect the CCITT recommendations
V.24/V.28.
Two versions are required. A single channel Eurocard
version and a dual channel CAMAC module version.
3.1 E̲N̲V̲I̲R̲O̲N̲M̲E̲N̲T̲A̲L̲ ̲C̲O̲N̲D̲I̲T̲I̲O̲N̲S̲
The operational conditions will be normal computer
environments and the operational temperature range
will be within 0 to 50 degrees Celsius.
The operation indicating LED's shall be visible (Appendix
C).
3.2 S̲A̲F̲E̲T̲Y̲
When dismounted the optical connectors shall be covered
by the dustcap to avoid reduced performance.

be ELCO type D.32 or equivalent (Appendix A).

V.28 concerning load, generator, significant levels
and signal characteristics (Appendix B).
Regarding the p̲o̲w̲e̲r̲ ̲s̲u̲p̲p̲l̲i̲e̲s̲ the requirements are:

The full duplex system is placed on a 100 x 160 mm
Eurocard with a DIN 41612 D.32 connector.
The frontplate is 4 units (20 mm) aluminium. As for
the physical dimensions see Appendix C.
