1.1 S̲C̲O̲P̲E̲
It is recommended that all (new) personnel read through
CAMPS SYSTEM DESCRIPTION MANUAL before getting access
to CAMPS. The manual provides an introduction and overall
description of the message processing system.
This ON-THE-JOB-TRAINING (OJT) manual applies to the
following operators in CAMPS (Computer Aided Message
Processing System)
- Supervisor (SUPV)
- Message Distribution Control (MDCO)
- Message Service (MSO)
This OJT manual is part of the OJT package which is
aimed at providing selfpacked instructions to users
of CAMPS.
1.2 O̲V̲E̲R̲V̲I̲E̲W̲
This OJT manual is divided into several sections or
units. Each unit consists of a set of frames. To introduce
you to the unit, a Learning Objective explains the
purpose of the specific unit. The Study Reference lists
the sections of the involved manual(s) to be read before
approaching the operations on the CAMPS computer. The
Assignments is the frame for a detailed procedure which
will guide you through the actions to be taken to optimize
the daily operation of CAMPS. In front of the assignment
figure(s) will be displayed giving an overview of the
on-line operator commands. Pointer(s) on this figure
will indicate which commands in question for this unit.
Finally, a Multiple Choice Self-Quiz is provided for
measuring the actual progress within the specific unit,
and for your convenience, a Multiple Choice Self-Quiz
Answer is also provided. Try to solve the Self-Test
without peeking into the page with answers.
In this OJT manual you will find a table right on top
of each section.
̲ ̲ ̲ ̲ ̲ ̲ ̲ ̲ ̲ ̲ ̲ ̲
̲S̲U̲P̲V̲:̲ ̲ ̲X̲ ̲ ̲ ̲
̲M̲D̲C̲O̲:̲ ̲ ̲X̲ ̲ ̲ ̲
̲M̲S̲O̲ ̲:̲ ̲ ̲X̲ ̲ ̲ ̲
This table will inform you which supervisory operator
who will get benefit of the section.
If both Supervisor, MDCO and MSO should employ common
sections, you will find reference to all three operator
manuals.
