4.2.2.2 L̲i̲n̲e̲s̲ ̲w̲h̲i̲c̲h̲ ̲a̲r̲e̲ ̲t̲o̲o̲ ̲l̲o̲n̲g̲
When more than 69 printing characters or spaces (machine advancing characters) are
received after one "end-of-line" function and before the reception of the next, the
messageshall be rejected to the message service position for further action.
The provisions of this section shall not apply to format line 12 g of data messages.
4.2.2.3 H̲a̲l̲t̲e̲d̲ ̲m̲e̲s̲s̲a̲g̲e̲s̲
If, during the reception of a message, no characters are receied for 30 seconds on
a low-speed channel or 5 seconds on a medium-speed channel, the processor shall terminate
the message being received, as described in section 4.2.2.8 and discard all further
characters received until the reception of a new "stat-of-message".
The terminated message shall be rejected to the service position and a report made
to the supervisor warning him of this condition.
