1. The tables of section 2 will contain the CHRISTIAN
ROVSING A/S preliminary interpretation of the ACP
126 format.
This document will present the ACP 126 format as
relevant to the detection and analysis of incoming
messages on SHIP-TO-SHORE circuits.
The format line detection, parameter isolation,
and the transfer of parameters and format lines
to ACP 127 will be shown in the tables.
The format lines are found as follows in the different
formats of ACP 126:
a) PLAINDRESS
A PLAINDRESS message contains the originator
and addressee designations in plain language
external to the text. It shall contain Format
lines 1,2,4,5,6,7 (and/or 8) 11,12,13,15 and
16. Other Format lines may be used when required.
b) ABBREVIATED PLAINDRESS
ABBREVIATED PLAINDRESS messages shall include
at least the Format lines 2,4,11,12,13,15 and
16.
c) CODRESS
The addressee designations are only disclosed
within the "encrypted text". Format lines
6,7,8 and 9 are never used in a CODRESS message,
and the classification designator "U" shall
be used in format lines 2 and 4. A CODRESS
message shall include format lines 2,4,5,10,11,12,13,15
and 16.
d) DATA MESSAGE
As for for PLAINDRESS except that there might
not be end of line functions in format line
12 (the text) and the special handling designator
D is asumed to be found in Format line 2 and/or
Format line 4
e) SERVICE MESSAGES
Service messages will normally be prepared
in abbreviated plaindress.

The following tables will present the layout of
the ACP 126 format lines and the relevant interpretation
for the MPF processing.
The information given here must be combined with
the processing explained in the sections 4.2.1
and 4.2.2 of the TECHNICAL PROPOSAL.

a) S̲t̲a̲n̲d̲a̲r̲d̲ ̲T̲o̲o̲l̲s̲ ̲a̲n̲d̲ ̲T̲e̲s̲t̲ ̲E̲q̲u̲i̲p̲m̲e̲n̲t̲ ̲(̲G̲r̲o̲u̲p̲ ̲A̲)̲
The Standard tools and test equipment are a standard
set of multipurpose handtools and test equipment.
b) S̲p̲e̲c̲i̲a̲l̲ ̲T̲o̲o̲l̲s̲ ̲a̲n̲d̲ ̲T̲e̲s̲t̲ ̲E̲q̲u̲i̲p̲m̲e̲n̲t̲ ̲(̲G̲r̲o̲u̲p̲ ̲B̲)̲
