         Action
             R̲e̲f̲ ̲1̲:̲

1.1 67 printers have been received by
CR. This status complies with the
                 contract.

Next shipment (6 units 830328) expected
                 to be on schedule.

             1.2 When TRACOR representatives arrived,
status was that 17 units were defective.

                 When TRACOR representatives departed,
status was that 9 units were defective.

CR expressed their concern about the
high failure rate. Repair needs to
be completed as soon as at all possible
                 to avoid increasing financial impact
                 on CR.

                 Course of actions:

                 a)  Marvin Schneider has established
a complete list of defective items.

         TRACOR      b)               Shipment instructions
                                      for items to
                                      be returned to
                                      TRACOR for repair
                                      will be provided
                                      to CR no later
                                      than Monday 28/3
                                      1983.

         TRACOR      c)               TRACOR will speed
                                      up the repair
                                      process by all
                                      possible means.
                                      Supply to CR
                                      of Spare items
                                      for repair will
                                      be considered.

             R̲e̲f̲.̲ ̲2̲:̲

TRACOR expected all retrofit items to
be ready for the April shipment (scheduled
             830425).

CR informed that the first batch of printers
will be shipped to the site immediately
             after Easter (21 units).

Next shipment from CR to sites will be
in the first week of May.

CR recommended, that all retrofit was
accomplished prior to end of April.

TRACOR  TRACOR will investigate if the April
                 shipment can be advanced, totally
                 or partly.

             R̲e̲f̲.̲ ̲3̲:̲

TRACOR  TRACOR promised to keep CR currently
informed on status of Tempest evaluation
                 of changes.

             R̲e̲f̲.̲ ̲4̲:̲

TRACOR informed that the maintenance manual
was being reviewed and delivery was scheduled
to be no later than 15. April 1983.

             R̲e̲f̲.̲ ̲5̲:̲

             Observed malfunctions.

             a)  Parity error (light plus print-out).

This error was demonstrated to TRACOR
                 representatives.

The error pattern was observed to
be influenced by interchange of modules.

TRACOR      CR feels that in view of the situation,
                     where printers are being shipped
to final sites, TRACOR needs to
resolve this problem as fast as
                     possible.

             b)  Ribbon lifted out of position by folded
                 paper.

CR has informed of this malfunction
several times. It is causing operational
                 non-conformance (complete messages
                 can be lost).

TRACOR      CR requests TRACOR to state their
position on the status and the
                     options concerning correction
                     of this malfunction.

             c)  Paper fold hits metal foil edge at
top of window even after the inside
                 part has been cut short.

TRACOR      TRACOR will provide comment. (Will
this problem be gone, when the
                     bezel is mounted?).

             d)  Mounting of Bezel

2 prototypes were delivered to CR
                 for inspection.

CR has observed that the middle screws
in the side parts seem a little too
short when the washers are left under
the screws or can the washers be left
out. Will longer screws be supplied
as part of the retrofit kit?

         TRACOR      TRACOR please comment.
