Security procedures related to user control (Formats
K1, K2, I1, I2) shall in accordance with the SDS be
executed by system software (SSC Package, TEMCO).
For safety the user should always be sure that input
of Password is requested by System Software and not
by a corrupted user process.
The user formats specified in ICD/001 do not provide
for the implementation/facility described above.
Line 5 of the VDU header area is assigned to System
Software Communication, i.e. all user entry of security
parameters shall be entered in this line. User sign-in,
sign-out shall be via this line and take place as follows:
1. The user activates the "System Key"
2. The System shall place the cursor in the system
line (line 5)
3. The user enters the System command (SI, SO)
4. The user shall be prompt for input of security
parameters in the System line, when appropriate.
