.TH CUBESTAT 6 "cubes 5.1" GMP "UNIX Gaming Manual" .SH NAME cubestat \- check status of the cube server .\" .\" sccsid: @(#)cubestat.6 5.1 (G.M. Paris) 89/01/22 .\" .\" .\" .\" cubes 5.1 Copyright 1988 Gregory M. Paris .\" Permission granted to redistribute on a no charge basis. .\" All other rights are reserved. .\" .\" .SH SYNOPSIS .B cubestat [ .BR \- { be } ] [ .B \-h host ] .SH OVERVIEW The .I cubestat program allows users to query the status of the .IR cubes (6) server. If the server to be queried is on a remote system, the .B \-h host option can be used to specify which system's server to query. .PP Currently, the behavior of .I cubestat is defined as follows. If there is a game in progress, .I cubestat will output a player roster similar to the one displayed by the .I cubes program. Otherwise, .I cubestat will output an informative message relating to the current status of the server. If the .B \-b option is specified, .I cubestat will loop until a game is about to begin. If the .B \-e option is specified, .I cubestat will loop until any game that's in progress ends. .SH "EXIT STATUS" An exit status of zero is returned if a game is in progress. A non-zero exit status is returned if no game is in progress or if there was an error of some type. .SH AUTHOR Greg Paris <gmp@rayssd.ray.com> .SH "SEE ALSO" cubes(6)
