.TH SCATTERPLOT 3 "March 5, 1985" "UNIX|STAT 5.0" "UNIX Programmer's Manual" .SH NAME scatterplot \- bivariate plotting .SH SYNOPSIS .nf barplot (x, y, n, plotchar, height, width, border) float *x, *y; .fi .SH DESCRIPTION .PP The procedure prints a plot suitable for a dumb character terminal. It plots x versus y, two vectors of length n. If plotchar is non-null, it is used for each point. Otherwise, points are plotted as digits if there are fewer than 10 x-y points on a plot coordinate and stars otherwise. Height and width change the size of the plot. If border is non-zero, a border is drawn around the plot. If border is greater than one, minima and maxima are indicated. .SH AUTHOR Gary Perlman
